SBI card swap/change period

Hi, I got SBI simply click card on dec 2022, As it is paid card and I want SBI card only for offers, so thinking of taking SBI BPCL card by swapping my simply click card.
I always wanted SBI BPCL card as it is eligible for SBI instant discount offer and fee reversal spend is only 50K,
but in office there was SBI desk was offering simply click on CIBIL without documents so I applied and got.

After how many days, I can swap that card with BPCL. Can I call customer care and swap?

Please suggest.
 
My friend has swapped his SBI SimplyClick to BPCL card in April month. No idea about current situation.
I have tried for swapping of Card in January First week this year.They denied , so in frustration proceeded for cancelation and then they offered the card as LTF.Tried the same on My Fathers card, they again offered LTF instead of swapping.(Then the same i have suggested in my friend circle and almost all have made their Card LTF)

Then only i came to know How to make SBI card LTF During putting the requests for swapping. Thereafter i have put a detailed thread on How to make SBI Card LTF by placing closure request ?

Raised card close request on June 19 midnight. Received call from SBI on June 21 morning. The reason I chose for card closure is "Annual Fee related" so the agent right away asked - "you are having problems in paying annual fees, right sir?" I said yes because this doesn't give me much rewards to pay yearly ₹500+ GST. He offered me that he can reverse the annual fee for one year and it will get reflected in your statement in 2 days. I asked him to make it LTF or close the card as I do not use it much. He said recently you had 6 months EMI in it (card closure request was placed one week after the 6th EMI payment is done on time), so the reason looks invalid (???) and immediately he offered me you can upgrade this card to Platinum bla bla etc premium cards. Then I asked him whether I can upgrade/swap this card to SBI BPCL normal or SBI BPCL Octane. He said yes you can, so I asked him to upgrade to BPCL (as I do not fill so much fuel in BPCL as I am working from home now and BPCL outlets are not accessible easily compared to other fuel pumps plus ₹5000 spends reverse the annual fee in this normal BPCL card). He placed this request again saying you will receive verification call and after you receive your BPCL card your SimplySave card will get deactivated. The credit limit will be exactly same (₹2,46,000) and since the first request is placed for annual fee reversal, I do not need to pay first year annual fee for the new card. I agreed. Let's see how it goes after 1 year. Got the reversal today and I transferred it to my savings account 😛

TLDR: Placed card closure request, agent called and I asked him to either close or make it LTF. He refused to make it LTF but reversed annual fee for one year, also offered upgrade options to premium cards. I asked him about upgrading to BPCL normal/BPCL Octane, he said both are possible, I opted for BPCL normal and for this new card I do not need to pay first year annual fee as the reversal request is already placed.

Kindly go through his response..

For tagging people type @ then first few letter of people exact profile name, further names with entered alphabet will be shown in dropdown ,select desired prople by tapping on the name.

Have Bookmared this response for future reference ...Can you please share us the screenshot of service request section of both the cards ?
Asking just to know what kind of SR they have taken in the whole process.

Looks like I haven't received SMS for card flip/swap yet. But the SBI card section shows it is in progress and I am yet to receive verification call from them. (Images attached)

Additional note: As I scrolled through the SMS I saw SBI kept sending 'get your pre approved BPCL Octane card with higher limit' SMS each month till May for 6 months and I have ignored them as promotional SMS without even reading fully. May be with this past pre-approved card eligibility, the agent said upgrading to BPCL Normal and Octane swap/upgrade is available to me?? I don't know.

Requesting donot share full infos anywhere you must hide SR numbers and card numbers in future sharings.
 
I don't want to disappoint you, but upgrading to BPCL may not be possible. I tried twice for someone, and both times, they received a call saying they could upgrade to another card like Prime or Elite, but not BPCL. I sincerely hope it works for you, but based on my experience, I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.

I swapped the card from sbi prime to sbi airindia platinum 10 days ago last four digit shows on sbi app but have not received the card. I called their care fe days back the girl said card is not dispatched at all or not ready wait two days today I call the guy says he can't track the card on top of it I have not received any tracking info other than as per your request card is changed. Now he has taken the compliant and says wait till 29th June I said this is a missing or lost card or have rhey not printed the card. Ask your supervisor to take priority. Looks like callous way work in sbi mostly all infian banks are pathetic when it comes to customer service but the get best bank award of the year . Looks like all paid awards like bollywood awards. Lol. Said will call on my day and see status. Else I told him if you people in sbi can't do one simple job at least do the simplest cancel it. He said wait for 2 days for update. Let us see.

Generation of cards are software based so it completed within time frame but printing and dispatching is collaboration of humane and machine so it takes some times.Not to forget SBI is very close to HDFC in card issuing means bulk of card printing and dispatching.
Most probably you will get depatch details in one week.

If SBI CARD anyhow implements digital card concept like ICICI then surely there is less burden on the C/Care team as people once got their digiatl cards on app itself then they start using immidiately so tracking of physical card doesn't come often in ones mind.

Then after few months I applied vistara prime they lost the application ekyc done they can find application when I asked the status after 15 days. Then I gave up. Then in Dec 2022 I got the card when they called up. Now I called for swap they seem to know nothing abt status like I said one says not dispatched and another says can't get tracking details . Bad luck. Best is use amex cards I hold and scb far better . I must say idfc was faster than sbi.let us see thanks for your input.

You are alraedy a vicitim of SBI Card procedure .Hope they will improve their procedures.
 
Today I called up as agree last week and they said comiant is taken backend team will get back on 29th June. Am still skeptical. These guys in sbi are nimcampoos does it take to check if the card is dispatched or not although I understand they have many card subscribers these kinda issues should be dealt on priority.
 
And I keep getting messages stating your card is not active kindly click the link or call to activate. How can I activate if the card is not received at all. I have given hope of this card . If on June 29th no proper answer I will give request to close the card on app or calling them. This is the last resort as I don't want to be levied annual chgs and get my cibil screwed up. As sbi is damn lazy backend team to remove adverse remarks on cibil. I has lot of issue when my car loan was reported delayed and not paid although every month it was paid . Somehow I got it closed after much escalation and shouting at the branch manager when they merged banks they had duplicated it
