SBI Unipay: Credit Card Bill Payments Failed - Customers Struggle with Refunds

I paid 37k using HDFC Platinum DC on Unipay it went smoothly…then again I paid 38k but this time immediately I received automated call from HDFC fraud detection team…by the time I could give confirmation the Unipay payment page was timed out.

Now 38k balance had been deducted but bill not paid & also there no history of failed txn on Unipay…just payment mail / SMS from HDFC !!

What to do next??

Wait, you will be refunded automatically within 5-7 working days.

I m on the same boat from yesterday bro.. i did two transaction of 25k and one of which got stuck... I don't know what to do now i need the amount urgently...

Follow these steps:

1) Follow this link and submit the mobile number you provided for communication and view your transaction history, additionally you can also provide transaction ID if you took a ss right before payment.

SBI Unipay Customer Portal

You can submit your complaint through here and they generally revert back and acknowledge it.

Wait for a week atleast after this considering the holidays in between.

If nothing above works or its very urgent, seek help from HDFC itself.

2) Login to HDFC netbanking site, Scroll down to the last and click on the + sign that u will notice under quick links section, after which you will see a Need Help option > Contact Us > Online Dispute Resolution, you can login and follow next steps with some details autofilled and rest you have to fill yourself.

3) Follow the below link and provide all the transaction details.

They will acknowledge and revert back in a day and your refund will be issued in max 4 days or even less.

1) Always take ss of transaction ID right before bill payment on SBI Unipay.
2) Click on button highlighted below after payment instead of waiting for the site to process.
3) Make payments on business days and working hours for better success rate.
4) Dont panic, Money is always refunded.

I disputed on hdfc but they revert me saying that the resolution will be happen within 30/11/24. Oh my God..and asked me for the transaction failed screenshot.. but i can't see any transaction details on sbi unipay portal...

Dont worry, you dont have to provide them anything which you dont have. Just mention that you did a bill payment and it failed and you never received any refund, They will take care of it within maximum 5 business days, they dont that long as mentioned in the email.

It's not fetching amount automatically. But you can enter amount and pay. Got posted to the card account on the 2nd day

Exactly same issue.
On 11-oct, paid 1100 via SBI unipay account using ICICI debit card.
But still 1100 not credited to credit card and it's been 5 working days now, it's not reversed either.
I don't see any transaction ID, all I have is the SMS from ICICI Bank that amount was deducted.
How to approach from here on?

My experience is a bit different. Today I paid 2 bills one for my hdfc infinia for around 4000 and Tata Neu of around 17000. I got sms from hdfc immediately for the 4000 payment but not for the 17000. Ironically sbi Unipay site shows failed in transaction history for the 4000 payment but successful for the 17000 payment. I have paid the bill directly as it was due today and have raised a complaint in sbi unioay website. all i got to do is wait i suppose. anyone else had similar experience?
