I was trying to apply for this card through their online partner it got stuck after i pressed on submit. Today morning i got a call from them asking if i was applying for it. They asked me if im salaried or self employed i said self employed they said we dont give cards to self employed individuals lol

There are many better credit cards and banks than SCB. Just look at the comments here to see the level of customer service SCB has and hardly any bank offers from SCB. I would suggest you to stop bothering for this bank and look for better credit cards from other banks according to your lifestyle. I won't be surprised if some day SCB also exits like Citi from Indian market 😆
I just wanted their card to add to my collection. Then close the card. Since I have already achieved milestone for fee waiver, I will wait till next year, and then either close the card or if they convert it to LTF, I will keep it.

That's also one of my reasons for me to get their cards.

everyone beware.

i spent around 1k last week at grocery store, today i for an email that my card ending xxxx is not activated.
i would have ignored the mail as a general welcome email, but given that they specifically called out my card number and that the ltf offer is time based spend, we need to keep an eye on whether they are capturing our transactions correctly.
