Strict Rules to Be Enforced for Maintaining the Quality of TF Community

Nothing lasts forever. What I have observed is with too many devals, there aren't enough things to discuss and we are indulging in chit chat derailing the threads.

It's OK, we have to accept a simple thread growing to 500 pages and no way to search for the required details.

As Mandal Babu suggested we should open off topic threads which are meant for fun.


Regarding emoji, even if it is removed someother reaction will take its place.

I can at least speak for @VISHESH_BANSAL. He had created an Axis Liberty account thread, which now has over 300 pages filled with information and lots of fun/memes

In that same thread, we (including myself) are 7-8 people constantly having fun, but we also help out newbies if their questions are reasonable.

Would that be an issue too?

This is supposed to be an English language site and we have a lot of members here from other parts of India who do not speak Hindi. In addition, we also have people reading from other countries. If we keep writing in local languages, we will have posts in Tamil, Telgu, Bengali, Punjabi and Hindi and many people wouldn’t understand what is written.

Members of the TF Community sometimes comment in Hindi or other languages. We do not stop them from doing this. If a non-speaker asks for clarification, other members happily translate, or the non-speaker can use Google Translate to understand in most cases.

However, while occasional use of Hindi or other languages is acceptable, creating an entire thread in Hindi or any other language would be inconvenient for non-speaker members. Therefore, this is not allowed.

If someone feels that one person has asked something which already answered in some other pages then either (1) he/she can ignore those posts, (2) write a message that it is already answered please check, or (3) post a link of the same info in comments, but making fun of him/her is not desirable. As the founder has already mentioned he is not discouraging fun but just asking us to post the fun related messages in a particular section so that original thread can be found in a orderly manner.

We must not forget that none of us is supreme or having all the knowledge. All of us look for solutions related to some other problems at some point of time. Even if we have some information still updation of all those information is also necessary.

I have even noticed that some senior members make fun of some relevant posts related to the original topic. Other senior members maybe because of his/her prior connection likes/encourage the wrong doings of the senior members which can easily be avoided.
For example, see attachment. No senior members dislike the message which deserves a dislike as the making fun of that post was not warranted. This is just an example there are plenty and mostly by senior members. Juniors will think twice before posting such unnecessary comments.

Wow, looks like we are back in school. Ruling with iron fist really can't be called a "community" forum. We all were newbie's once, hell, I feel I am still 1-2 months old here.

Not just you everyone was a newbie once. When you're young or newbie you need more discipline and rules in life.

If people are allowed to do as they please then they would always take the shortest way to the most profitable solution. This is human nature.

This is what is happening in the forum here. Many people don't want to put any effort in searching answers to their questions, instead they just take the shortest possible way of creating a new thread/post to get their queries resolved.

Clearly having fun at the expense of others is more important to them all the while thinking they are the lifeline of this website just because they are active when it is actually other people who contribute meaningfully to the discussion. @SSV is one such example, none of you mentioned him when he is arguably one of the most active and helpful individuals on here, but he isn't part of the comedian group, so he isn't classified as "important".
