Strict Rules to Be Enforced for Maintaining the Quality of TF Community

i'm not denying anything, i'm stating that if a person wants to leave this community because they can't use their emoji then this community doesn't really mean much for them and they probably don't add much or gain any value from it.
This community means a lot of them, that's why they are so attached to that emoji and requesting the owner to bring the legendary emoji back!

Sooner or later the impact of this small change will be visible

Don't create a new thread. Use existing thread so that you can see older comments + new updates on the same. These two things are more than enough to keep the community clean to an extend.
I have advocated for one thread for things like 'best abc category card'- one dude is maintaining 'best debit cards for cc billpay' unlike the one which was posted by TF himself. Wiki maintenance should also be promoted.

Zomato reaction wasn't just a simple reaction. It was a "YES" nod in a humor way.
+1
Honestly, you need to impose strict regulations from lower ranks. Most of the fun is due to these people only, who just jumps to thread and asks a question which had been answered 10 times already.
Agree w this.
3. Regular/Daily News Updates on Banking and Finance section:
@TechnoFino TF Community newsletter maybe started for these.

Also, please ban your name (or any mods- or important contributors) lookalikes. there are so many possible names yet they choose @techno-finoo .
If @vaibhav111 @BVC and @ashwink goes offline. TF is dead already. I don't know what other staff is doing.
shoutout to vaibhav111 from my side also. dude has always executed mod actions.

This initiative is much needed and great to see it being addressed. Enforcing it will be challenging for just a few moderators, so the community's support and diligence are essential to make this successful

@TechnoFino My few cents:
  • Take away the rights of the newbies from creating a new thread. We already have a lot of threads which cover 99% of the topics and credit cards out there. There is a low chance of newbies adding something important which other long term members have missed. Moreover, if this is the case then they can always PM the Mods for this. Also, they can always post in the existing threads
  • All new threads should be approved by moderator before being published. This will discourage repetitive topics and repetitive posts
  • Mods responsibility should be given to people who are active and are really interested in contributing. Being a mod is a thankless job but requires a lot of effort. So, it is more suited for a member who is really interested in it for contribution not just for the Mod Badge.
  • Mods should give regular warning to members and impose soft ban for a week or few days who repetitively disregard guidelines
Wow, looks like we are back in school. Ruling with iron fist really can't be called a "community" forum. We all were newbie's once, hell, I feel I am still 1-2 months old here.

You mean changes shouldn't happen when a certain set of people want something back because you think its not necessary and they think its necessary because that reaction was a goto reaction for saying 'yes' in a humor way.

One possible solution to the chaos is implementing something like Slack threads. All replies to a single message go into a separate thread, so overall the original post has very few messages and easy to sift through. Post stays clean, people can have unlimited fun and also easily get the info they want. Not sure how easy/difficult it is to implement this though.

I have gone through all comments and discussions here, it seems due to some emoji removed from reactions reasons we are concerning ++ content moderating.. i can think one way is to the way we have points system and after reaching specific milestone you will get another tag like tf select, tf premier etc.. add emoji visibility logic into tag level and based on tags you can use reactions n emojis unlocked.

Threadmarking or Mark as solution buttons or options should be directly visible to OP's , so he (even if OP is new) can mark any comment as solution and rest other comments would be carry forwarded to related topic discussions continue.

Whenever any OP gives mark as solution give OP some fractional points to reach to next milestone, if OP really wanted to go up the ladder , they will follow it for getting next level perks , indirectly Mods burden will lower in some way..

As mostly everyone would smartphone user accessing TF on smartphone, some options hide in three dots and on small screen no one go and search where are buttons so need to think about UI/UX improvements for few buttons..

Also as we have google ads implemented here, try to see if you can put inject ads related to own community threads or perks ( Announcements Sections posts), rules in some random way, that will give more visibility to all TF rules regulations sections to any/all users... so whoever reading any thread/comments might see some ad and feel to click and go through it to understand purposes...

From this forum community I started learning how to use Credit Card and understanding other banking processes, Thanks to the @TechnoFino and Team members for giving this public forum for discussions and learning AND TF Community People for sharing their knowledge about various topics...

Hello TFCians,

As 2024 comes to an end, 2025 marks a new beginning for all of us. We are about to reach the milestone of 50,000 registered members, which is a significant achievement.

The TF Community is now widely regarded as a trusted source of information by many individuals, bankers, and notable figures in the financial industry. With the increasing number of members, we must ensure that the quality of the TF Community does not decline.

Lately, I have personally observed some members diverting conversations away from the actual topic of a thread, which is not acceptable. Additionally, a few members are posting memes and GIFs purely for fun. While lighthearted fun is fine occasionally, doing so repeatedly is something we can no longer allow.

Please consider this a warning to such members. If this behavior continues, we will have to take stricter actions.

We have an "Off-Topic" section where you can post whatever you like, have fun, create social groups, and enjoy. However, we must keep the main forum sections free from spam. This is essential to maintain the quality and reputation that the TF Community has built over the years.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. Wishing all the wonderful members of TechnoFino a very Happy New Year!

Best regards,
Sumanta Mandal
Good initiative and its a support from you to the sincere as well as serious users like me and many others who never posted any memes or off topics 🤝👍
Guys I don’t have any dislike with anyone but just want to be detailed specifically in our posts🙂
Whenever I visit TF i used to see this unanswered questions and pick it up to the point where I have knowledge or experience and answer it
So its a community made by us and for us how informative it should be let each one of us be a good netizen here🔥👌

It's gone for good. People were reacting with that emoji randomly.
Please also enforce a rule that all posts and conversations should be only in English. This is supposed to be an English language site and we have a lot of members here from other parts of India who do not speak Hindi. In addition, we also have people reading from other countries. If we keep writing in local languages, we will have posts in Tamil, Telgu, Bengali, Punjabi and Hindi and many people wouldn’t understand what is written.

Main posts are already written in English. Not everyone can converse fluently in English just like you do. Lets keep these silly things out.

Emaitundu emo ikada.. ade paristiti anukunta
Nothing lasts forever. What I have observed is with too many devals, there aren't enough things to discuss and we are indulging in chit chat derailing the threads.

It's OK, we have to accept a simple thread growing to 500 pages and no way to search for the required details.

As Mandal Babu suggested we should open off topic threads which are meant for fun.

Regarding emoji, even if it is removed someother reaction will take its place.

He himself wrote telugu wrongly and is preaching about english 😂😂

Secondly it's too much of misunderstanding if we think people from other countries are visiting this site regularly. Why would they ? This site is all about india and indian finance (cards, mf,stocks, banks, etc)
