Install CPU Z and buy the matching one with RAM type, frequency, and clock. How do you check if a RAM would be compatible with a given Laptop/PC ?

But what about desktops which are not yet built ?Install CPU Z and buy the matching one with RAM type, frequency, and clock.
You can ignore frequency and clock(if you want) as it will automatically run on equal grounds where both RAM's specs coincide.
mostly DDR4 will work but if you want latest and greatest then DDR5 is for you. Depends on platform and motherboard you are looking for assembling the rig.But what about desktops which are not yet built ?
Googling things help. Google with the model no or can go to the vendor website to check..How do you check if a RAM would be compatible with a given Laptop/PC ?

Then that's more straightforward. Buy the same RAM sticks in pairs or bundles. But what about desktops which are not yet built ?
I am doing research. I will share an excel sheet with all the components. Then that's more straightforward. Buy the same RAM sticks in pairs or bundles.
Start by deciding on the CPU first then the MOBO required to support it and then the RAM based on both.
Tell the CPU and MOBO, then I can tell you about the RAM, DDR4, or DDR5.

I second this..Crucial Ram's are best
20 GB MEANSSure, I am not endorsing Lenovo at all.. We need to look for what fits for our uasge...
I upgraded my RAM to 20 GB and Wifi card to support wifi 6... and it is flying now:
I have 300 mbps broadband plan now on ACT:
