Suggest way to get Infinia Upgrade from DCB

I held Diners privilege LTF (without account) and Magnus until Magnus’s devaluation. I had 0 spends on my Diners privilege card since last December and asked hdfc to upgrade my card to DCB LTF based on my magnus spends and salary, which they did.

I wish to get Infinia but my spends for the last 5 months since I received DCB are barely 6lakhs and they are not revising the credit limit as well which is only 5 lakhs ( I have credit limit of 30 lakhs on my icici sapphiro).

How do I approach them to upgrade to Infinia based on the salary criteria alone.

Will creating a salary account with hdfc help? Or should I try talking to Axis to upgrade my magnus to burgundy ( I don’t trust axis enough to maintain relationships with them) ?

You should mention your ITR.
If your ITR is around 36L. You can try with the help of your assigned RM/BM or your nearest branch BM.
Or try emailing their grievance team mentioning and sending all the details. including the filled upgrade form, the last 3 months' salary slips with Bank statements, and ITR.

If you don't have account with HDFC, they won't be able to help you at the branch. The sure shot way to spend 8L+ on DCB to be eligible for Infinia. Again, you have only 5L CL, so first try to increase it to 8L+, mail the CC department your salary and ITR for manual CL enhancement.

Forget infinia ltf, doubt theyll process infinia fyf/paid as they are tight on upgrades these days. Even higher itr, spends and cl guys are finding it difficult

I did get an upgrade to ltf dcb with 0 spends and no account

Cool, what in your opinion provides a reasonable chance of getting Infinia ltf for ntb customers?
What amount of funding?
Or what net salary?

10L average MAB, the more the better the negotiating power

Till Oct 30th 2023, they were freely handing out LTF DCB to Alumni and others freely. It is not the case now, very difficult to get LTF Infinia without any relationship with HDFC. Probably salary account or ULIP or FD will help your chances.

For the last few months, I've been trying to get a card upgrade from my current card Diners Club Privilege to Diners Club Black on the salary criteria. Despite meeting all criterias, it's being rejected with the reason stated : Rejected due to internal Policy.

The current card doesn't look attractive to me, particularly due to other cards in my wallet and hence there's no reason for me to keep using it unless an upgrade to DCB is provided.

The spends on my other card for the last 4 months are attached with the mail, which can be transferred to the Diners Card in future if the card is upgraded but definitely not on the current one.

Due to thse reasons, I would like to request an upgrade to the Diners Black Card.


Please note that under the Alumni Program, I'm eligible for the LTF Diners Club Black card.

The salary slip and other documents are attached with this email.

Makes perfect sense now, you are eligible for dcb under alumni criteria also satisfying salary criteria and applied before alumni route was pulled out

So they processed your upgrade under Alumni route. Salary and other details were added bonus to them.
