But what is this 2000 rewards points capping on utility/telecom & cable ??

1. NeuCoins earned on Utility transactions will be capped at 2000 NeuCoins per calendar month.
2. NeuCoins earned on Telecom & Cable transactions will be capped at 2000 NeuCoins per calendar month.)

I think this is the category-based capping (not sure if this capping is calculated across Tata Pay and direct transactions). I made an insurance payment of 1.5L directly on the insurance website and I got 2000 Neu coins under the 1.5% cashback category for that transaction.

This particular MCC is not listed in SBI CB cards exclusion list. You can try purchasing a small amount and let everyone know does it work or not

For me Tata Neu app allows 2*10k Apay voucher every month. Some user's have reported a lower limit of 10k p.m.

The 40k capping u r taking about is for transaction done through Tata Pay which comes under 5% reward points category.
Not sure if Tata Pay gives difference MCC for different category of transaction like recharge, electricity bill, insurance done through them

He paid directly on the insurance company's website which got counted in 1.5% reward points category
