The Card Wars - Infinia vs Reserve vs Magnus

There is an on going battle between since Reserve got to the market. I am now wondering on what card do i do maximum spends so that I get maximum rewards as well as benefits.
I would like to get sufficient points that i can transfer to air miles so that i can get to travel. but at the same point, i want to have another set of points that i can use for shopping, hotel stays, or other spends EXCLUDING travel.
Calling the experts to please throw some light.

TBH
Reserve is miles ahead of Infinnia at current valuation of both cards.
It’s not logical to compare them
May be if you compared Infinnia to Magnus then might be there would have been some debate but even then Magnus would have won for sure.
Infinnia as of today is just living on its old glories with nothing new to offer .

Thank you @anirban.choudhury

Lets take it one step ahead - As i also have the magnus, I ensure to pay 1L atleast with this card. Rest all expenses i charge it to reserve. when there are big expenses those get charged to the Infinia. All of these points are primarily used to book international air tickets / accomodation etc.

OP, you can do a comparison between Infinia Smartbuy and Axis Gyftr for Reserve. That is the only place where Infinia may have some edge over Reserve or even Magnus. Other places Infinia doesn’t offer much. If you talk about regular online spends, SBI CB is better than Infinia/Reserve/Magnus. For offline spends Reserve is better for airmile.

As my end goal is to earn airline miles eventually, I want to focus on only these 3 cards, Reserve, Infinia and Magnus. Axis also has a larger array of FF programs where we can transfer miles at a good ratio. Infinia does not do the same, example British Airways, Infinia gives 1 point at 0.2 Rs value which is quite sad.

For someone who wants to go deep into the airmiles & hotel loyality game Magnus Reserve duo is no brainer
A frequent traveller where spends are mostly on hotel or airlines website or even POS hotels , atlas is a must have .
Infinnia surely adds a bonus but certainly not a must owing to its various restriction including cap of 7500 points on smart buy a day .
Smartbuy ticket prices are also little higher as compared to different websites

100K per month- Magnus (look no further)
Substantially more than 100K - Reserve
Infinia - Well not comparable with the other two, specially if you are into loyalty programs.

Either you can be on the miles side or on the cashback side. If you travel in both the boats together then you won't land anywhere.

100K per month on Magnus
900k per month on ___________ (infinia or reserve)
For the 900k why not split it into Infinia as well as Reserve? Use Gyftr/Smartbuy wherever possible to maximize reward points.

The reason I say is because you mentioned that you want one set of points towards Airmiles and another towards shopping, so a split of Infinia/Reserve (ratio you can decide based on what maximizes rewards)

Until the redgiraffe loophole is plugged, Infinia is the only decent card earning well on rental payments. If you rent and pay a substantial enough rent, this is the last remaining "perk" of infinia over magnus etc. Also the points can be used more flexibly than magnus

Completely agreed. I am on the miles side for sure. My main goal is to get airline tickets and/or upgrades to business/first class.
Once I have sufficient points, then the points accumulated post that can be used for hotels, shopping etc. I hope that clarifies.

Amex Plat Charge offers great rates on business/first and at fine hotel partners. Though their miles earning rate is way inferior to a reserve. I think you should pick between reserve and platcharge. Purely looking at the mile earning rates, reserve has no competition

The Redgiraffe + Payzapp combo continues making Rental on Magnus rewarding .
