Upgrade HDFC Millenia to Regalia Rupay for UPI?

Hisoka

TF Ace
I rarely use my Millenia card as I’ve other cards like Axis Ace, Magnus, MRCC etc. which fulfil most of my needs.

Is it a good idea to upgrade from Millenia to Regalia Rupay? I can use it through UPI on daily bases and reward system is better than HDFC Tata Neu (which mine recently got approved but I’ll close it if Regalia is better).

Through UPI I can easily spend 3 lacs in a year to waive the renewal fees (by regular scanner payments and transferring to UPI if that’s possible)

I didn’t read any posts about this as everyone was talking about Tata Neu cards only, but I think Regalia is way better than Tata Neu as in regalia we get rewards for flights hotel etc. I’m Tata neu we’ll just get Neu coins which we’ve to spend unnecessarily

It’s not my main concern. I’ve Magnus and Axis Vistara for that

It’s just what’s the use of neu coins? I’ll buy electronics from Amazon or Flipkart as they’re more trusted and offer more discount than Tata neu. So it’s better to opt for regalia. At least it’ll provide something I can use
Croma has no issues, AFAIK
And is as trusted as AMZ & FK

And for offers, Tata Neu is best as of now, as 10% cb(NCs) anytime with Neu Infinity & can go with Cash+NCs combo for all orders & no redemption fee

Regalia and tata neu infinity both I hold
Regalia is MC and neu is rupay
Tata better than regalia when u see the redemption options

If you regularly use Tata neu app then apply for Tata neu infinity Rupay but I have also heard that Tata Neu has blocked accounts for bulk ordering.

Credit card link UPI only allowed for Merchant UPI transactions, you can't send money to anyone.

Ya, monthly capped 500 points per calendar month but currently everyone getting more than 500 reward points. Can't say if any change in future.

@Slayer

Yes.

Only Merchant UPI transactions allowed, currently you can pay any other banks credit card bill pay via Amazon using Regalia UPI because cc bill pay also comes under merchant category.
How ? Also does it apply any additional charges ?

No charges. MDR fees paid by merchants not customers.

first set your UPI PIN for your RuPay credit card.

Open amazon >> credit card bill pay >> payment page >> choose other UPI option >> enter your RuPay credit card link BHIM UPI ID >> send UPI request.

open BHIM app >> approve >> choose RuPay credit card >> confirm.

Go back to your Amazon page to complete the transaction.

Do you recommend me to apply Tata Neu card as a secondary card? I have Millenia. If yes then how should I apply to ensure the best variant and separate limit? Everyone including Technofino was saying that card is bad.
TATA Neu RuPay credit card is best for other banks credit card bill payment via Amazon using RuPay CC link UPI.

You will get unlimited 1%/1.5% neu coins on CC bill pay UPI spend and your annual fee will also reversed, if you use annually more than 1 lakh/3lakhs (depend on card variant).

Have you verified this recently, the option to pay via Credit Card UPI is no longer available via Amazon.

Get card use for 11months then decide whether to continue or not
Even i have millennia. Also got tata plus rupay card just for upi purposes. Since limit is shared whereever i cant use card i scan and pay via rupay card . Its usefull there otherwise millennia all the way. Get tata neu now. May be visa will also enter upi this year then u can simply close tata neu card
