Which Debit Card to use for Credit Card Bill Payment in February & March 2025

faced the same issue. idfc blocks the debit card. it won't be visible in your app. did you miss a call from their transaction verification department? usually the call comes within one hour of phonepe transaction being declined.
to unblock the firstap card, please call idfc customer care. inform them of the issue. Within a day the card will get unblocked.

My card was active & showed in app, but still message from Phonepe was "bank declined the transaction". IDFC customer care is clueless.

I did multiple cc payments in February 25 via my new wealth debit card and none fetched any points as expected (setu, phonepay, Flipkart). Then i did an online shopping transaction above 1000 rupees on 2nd March. Today I received the welcome + reward points for that.

Let's see when the firstap reward and welcome points are credited. I did a transaction with firstap on 4th March.

You can get VDC even if you have Platinum variant account with SBI.

In my case, it seems phonepe is blocking the payment saying it seems risky! I am not getting to OTP stage.

Generally, it takes 1-2 days. idk about the Amex portal MCC code. If it's eligible, it will come. ( I paid cc on mobi on 5th Mar and received the rewards already today.

Yes IndusInd visa works on Paytm and Flipkart

IndusInd Mastercard works on payzapp

Indus visa didn't work on Flipkart I'm not received any single point

And one last question any app which allows to pay outstanding balance of Credit card without being billed of hdfc bank ?

I think Payzapp app but dnt know which DC give you rewards except SBI Virtual RuPay DC.

Got the first tap on 25th, did transactions from 25th to 2nd march still waiting on points, no welcome points either.

As @Abhishek012 bro told, Please dont complaint to IDFC customer care there are high chances for devaluation of IDFC Debit cards, Wait for 14 wrking days or max 30 dyas it will credited. Only one high value rewards left, So kindly understand all

IDFC Bank sometimes missed some transaction rewards and welcome rewards but gives the rest like this guys received on 3rd transactions - rewards + welcome rewards

Applied on 22nd Feb, Received virtual card on 23 and physical card on 26th Feb
1st Transaction- Done on 24th Feb, on Canara setu for amount Rs.1500 merchant name "Retail CC" till today no points credited (N+WR)

2nd Transaction - Done on 27th Feb, on Phonepe for amount Rs.1200 merchant name "Phonepe Recharge" till today no points credited (N+WR)

3rd Transaction - Done on 5th March, on Phonepe for amount Rs.1002 merchant name " Phonepe Recharge" . Today (7th March) points credited for this transaction only.
Normal - 13.36 points
Welcome Rewards- 2000 points

PhonePe flagged and blocked by CC bill payment of 42k on a newly issued IDFC Firstap Rupay card. First tx of Rs 400 went through, after that 42k declined and then even 1k not allowed. How to resolve this?

Yes, this is frustrating from IDFC bank. Phonepe showed a message that bank declined the transaction and when I raised with IDFC, no resolution.

If yes then any error on phonepe app side ? like security error or something ?

if not then check your IDFC card is blocked or not.

If Card is not showing in your account means blocked, contact IDFC bank they will unblocked within an hour.

If any security error from phonepe side then wait 48hrs.

Also Use Freecharge app and no extra charge using RuPay variant.

Got my old sbi acc reactivated for cc bill payment, got virtual rupay global generated. But I’m not able to signup to sbi rewards even in browser for some reason..anyway can someone confirm if bill payment from PhonePe thru sbi virtual rupay dc is giving rps. Never faced problems from PhonePe upi for cc settlement while with Airtel and unipay had few failed txns, hence preferring to stick with PhonePe only if some one cmfirms

Wait exact 24hrs or max 48hrs and try.

Also try through freecharge app cc bill payment.

Note - Firstap RuPay card - you can also pay max 8 or 9 times per day.

Thanks for your reply bro. Aaj hi Boni karta hu sbi rupay dc ki. Anyway these rps will take time to accumulate to pay bill of any cc just by rps, by then rewardz should be linked with dc
