Axis Airtel Card cashback blunder.

I recently got Axis Airtel Card and on generation of statement, I realised that any bill payments done on Airtel App, be it Airtel bills or others, is being counted under 25% category. This means that there is no way to tap into Rs 500 monthly utility bill payment benefit as of now.

Refer to the screenshot below. The only payment in this month was for my electricity bill of Rs 1595 and cashback shown is Rs 300 whereas it should have been Rs 159.5.



Fellow community members, I would request you to keep above in mind while getting this card or wait till Axis settles these reporting issues with Airtel.

Yes, linked number does not matter, what matters is payment through the airtel app or website

This card is still a mess. Received my first statement today.

Last month, bought a keyboard worth appr 8.4k (Keychron keyboard, if anyone is curious). The transaction is mentioned as electronics. The cashback earned didn't even reach Rs.84.

I should've used Amazon Pay ICICI card as it shows exactly what I'd get for each transaction. Going forward, I am not going to use Airtel Axis card for any more transactions that fall into 1% category.

Not sure where the issue is. But, Airtel, Axis and spending on software don't seem to go together.

Will reach out to both Airtel and Axis after a week as there are other priorities at the moment.

From Keychron India website. Had an offer before Diwali. Used PayTM as payment gateway, not the PayTM app.

I wish I postponed it because it is available cheaper in gulf where I can get things through a cousin.

I booked LPG today but there was a problem. I saved my card in airtel app. If I use saved card details, I can't complete booking. I entered card details again and completed the booking

I tried entering card details freshly in the app but after entering first 8 digits it is showing card bin not allowed for payment in red!!
