Compiled information from various sources (direct and indirect):
So these are the caps that were specific to brands (mentioned in the t&c on gyftr website):

• A customer (registered mobile number) can buy a maximum of Rs. 10,000 worth of Amazon Pay Gift Cards in a calendar month.
• A customer (registered mobile number) can buy a maximum of Rs. 50,000 worth of Amazon Shopping Vouchers in a calendar month.
• A customer (registered mobile number) can buy a maximum of Rs. 10,000 worth of Flipkart Gift Cards in a calendar month.
• A customer (registered mobile number) can buy a maximum of Rs. 20,000 worth of TATA CLiQ Gift Vouchers in a calendar month.
• A customer (registered mobile number) can buy a maximum of Rs. 2,50,000 worth of Gift Vouchers in a calendar month.

No longer live:
On 12/04/2023, Edge Gyftr introduced some caps on overall purchase from the platform: From the date of the gyftr edge account registration (it doesn't matter when the card was issued, days are counted from edge gyftr account creation):

• maximum 10k worth voucher purchase is allowed in first 15 days.
• maximum 25k worth voucher purchase is allowed in first 30 days.
• maximum 75k worth voucher purchase is allowed in first 90 days.
• after that, maximum 1L worth vouchers in a calender month.

This was not yet mentioned on the t&c in the website. customer care said they were not yet aware of it, but the cap had been placed. No one could purchase more than the limits mentioned.
Edit: This was specific to edge Gyftr, no limits like this on normal Gyftr, HDFC Smartbuy Gyftr or SBI Yono Gyftr.

Update: The limits on edge GyFTR seems to have been lifted as of 19/4/2023.

The original post updated, capping has been lifted, customer care still doesn't know anything.
I think, this was because of the Amazon voucher bug, they capped the overall purchase as they were trying to fix the bug. When the limit on ASV was 50k, amazon pay gift card could be purchased for 50k, too (the limit on that was 10k). When they tried to cap the limit, ASV was capped, too (unintentionally, I think.) They decreased the ASV limit to 10k from 50k, and increased again to 25k but no one was able to purchase more than 10k.
Now 25k purchase is allowed as per tnc and it's working fine.

No. It can be applied just before booking the cab. Buy it just before taking the cab, else you might even lose track of what you've bought

There is no capping on amount of Swiggy vouchers you can buy. HOWEVER, since this goes into your wallet - Swiggy imposes a 10k per month cap on the amount of vouchers you can load into your wallet. Further more, they have recently started this - if you have 9k in your Swiggy wallet from last month. Swiggy will NOT allow you to load more than 1k in your wallet this month (capping the total amount in your wallet @ 10k). If you consume say 2k this month then you can add another 2k worth of vouchers this month itself.

Interesting... and how does one do this KYC? I am an ICICI bank customer as well... however it hasn't been automatically done. Neither is there any option in Swiggy Money to do this...

Yes. I learnt it hard way by not being able to add vouchers above 10k.
With validity i guess can use them next month.

Yes but again... how does one get this full KYC done... especially as an ICICI bank customer? I have added my ICICI credit, debit and pocket cards as payment methods in Swiggy. That hasn't helped.

It's automated. You can't do anything. They detect based on mobile number. If urs is not detected, your link is broken.

No capping on buying swiggy vouchers - however Swiggy app has the limitation that you can not add more than 10K vouchers in a month. I was trying to do that for a large payment under doneout GIRF deals - and was not able tp add more than 9900

As mentioned above, you can add up to 1L if full KYC is done. I’ve been able to.
