Is there somewhere we can see how many shares need to be bought for diamond platinum etc?
Need to do research on that. But i seen people buying US shares in india.

so it might be 100-200 for tiers above that
US shares are easy. You can buy from IND money easily. Accor is listed in Europe so that's a bit challenging.

Is there any trick to get Status Nights while paying using Accor Points for Stay?
I read somewhere that if you pay atleast 1k from your card then you get the status nights.

No trick you will get it irrespective of the payment method. Just pay last remaining amount under 1.8k in card.
You need not pay the entire tax amount in card.
I got 2 status nights for 2 day stay at Fairmont Palm, Dubai. The entire stay was booked through points and small amount of 972.79/- was paid during check-out by card.
Accor is just amazing. Booked 5 days in Vietnam for just 22000 points

I recently got upgraded to Gold.
When you buy membership, they credit 20 status nights. You then have to complete only 10 to reach next tier. Nights paid by points also count towards status nights. You will have to pay some amount by card since point redemption happens in multiples of 1000. So some amount will always be left to be paid by cash. That way, it is quite simple with Accor
People are discussing about buying Accor shares etc. But you can reach gold by staying 10 nights and paying all of them via points
