Best two Deals to get Accor plus

I recently got upgraded to Gold.

When you buy membership, they credit 20 status nights. You then have to complete only 10 to reach next tier. Nights paid by points also count towards status nights. You will have to pay some amount by card since point redemption happens in multiples of 1000. So some amount will always be left to be paid by cash. That way, it is quite simple with Accor

People are discussing about buying Accor shares etc. But you can reach gold by staying 10 nights and paying all of them via points
If you get Accor shares for less than 20 EUR = total cost around 1lac for 50 shares will be a great deal to have gold status. Lets wait for next crash!

Few Notable Benefits of Gold:
Priority Welcome
Welcome Drink
Early check-in or late check out
Guaranteed room availability on 3 days before arrival
Upgrade to the next room category (subject to availability)
Welcome Amenity (except at budget hotels such as Ibis)

I don't see any cash benefits in all these. I normally choose Ibis.
I think the basic ALL classic membership is all you need to use your points to stay.
you should not pay anything extra for Accor Plus Explorer or Voyager at the current selling prices.
Maybe wait for a discount or special offer

Which is the best option while utilising Accor points to book Ibis hotels?--
1) pay with points in advance at the non-refundable rate or
2) book refundable and pay with points on arrival or
3) book refundable and pay with points at check out after including expenses on transfer services and food and drinks, if any

Non refundable booking is your preference as per certainty of your stay. You can do both.
On arrival you can pay the amount for stay. At the checkout you can settle remaining food bill with points. As invoice is prepared at the checkout only.

Isn't non refundable booking directly charged on card at the booking time itself? I am not sure if that can be paid via points.

Only cancellable bookings are taken via taking the card details but not charging the card

Do check with customer care once

The idea is to buy 1 share to get all the gold tier benefits.

Voyeger seems good for 10% discount on stay and 50% on meals. Can save a good amount of points in Europe.

Can someone using Accor plus share how much they saved using this?

I have recently bought Accor Plus. On average member rate is 10-20% less than average price. So, to breakeven if you stay in budget hotels like Ibis you can save approx 2k on 10k spend (for around 3 nights). So, if you travel at least 10 nights a year then its totally worth it.
E.g. I recently booked 4 nights in Ibis Jaipur 2 people incl. breakfast & tax for 15200Rs
Member (5% Disc) rate for same day is 18800Rs.
Public (No Disc) rate for same day is 19800Rs.

Accor Plus is much more than just Stay.
You get so many complimentary buffet vouchers around your city.

Vouchers like 50% off at SPA or buy 1 get 1 SPA service etc will save a lot of money if you use them. Especially if you are a resident guest at the hotel. You can use your Accor points to pay the remaining amount at checkout for stay, food and Spa.
