Used to be. Apply for it only if you don't have a rupay card or for bob offers.

A really basic card. But good news is that it is Rupay and will help you with UPI merchant txns. If you hold HDFC Rupay like regalia or neu, skip it. If not, then consider those cards, they might be paid but worth it. If you still want a free card then go for it.

I have Moneyback+ MasterCard, waiting for an upgrade to Millenia. I tried applying for Tata neu plus but my area is not serviceable.

Yes. It's shared between primary and add-on.
Install the app also, very smooth interface. Register for add on as well.
