Clarification on RuPay NCMC

The govt (funded with public money) wants you to have 60rs positive to board a station
Could be metro system specific. I have boarded Mumbai MMRDA metro with just ₹10 balance in my NCMC card and exited after deduction of ₹9 which was my ticket fare with ₹1 remaining in balance.

That Activate card for metro option is only meant for Chalo NCMC cards issued by Yes Bank. These cards were launched before Mumbai metro MMRDA lines started service, which is why the service area for this system was not already written on the card and gets written when this option is used.

All newly issued NCMC cards come pre loaded with all the currently active non exclusive Metro networks in India which is why the app isn't able to rewrite the same on your card.

Just load the balance into your card using the PNB one app by clicking on the NCMC option and update it on the card using the balance update feature in the Chalo app. Your NCMC virtual wallet balance will show up as a current account in your PNB one app.
Oh, I did try from PNB app as well. But whenever I click on NCMC card option. I get you do not have any accounts linked for the given criteria.
Actually, I already have one debit card, I ordered a new one that supports NCMC, not sure if any extra steps are needed in this case.
I checked online, and for other people in PNB one app, 2 accounts are showing Savings and Current(for NCMC), for me it's only showing savings. I thought maybe we need to activate the NCMC card first.

This is for Delhi Metro MCQRT and The issue is not the requirement of INR 60 for boarding a station, the minimum recharge allowed is INR 50, but some low life scum in the govt thought about forcing the people to recharge for another 50 rs just to hit the min req.

It's nice Mumbai metro doesn't have such restriction.

I also got the same card for my Dad's account last week only. It was showing the same error for me as well. It took 2 days from date of card activation for the virtual wallet to be created for NCMC. It will start showing in the PNB one app on its own don't worry, just wait for 2 days.

₹100 is the minimum amount for online recharge of NCMC balance by issuers like Airtel. Though Chalo allows ₹10 and Orbit doesn't have any minimum recharge amount, you can even add ₹1 if you want.

I spoke to the CEO of Orbit wallet and he said that they are in the process of developing support for tokenisation of their Orbit prepaid Rupay NCMC card into the Orbit wallet app.
After this the tap and pay feature for NFC capable phones will work for both POS as well as AFC NCMC transactions and there will be no need for updating the transit balance after recharge.
Touch n Go card work in a similar way, seems orbit got inspired from TNG Wallet.

Let's see, don't know on which technology or protocol they are working, because NCMC works bit differently.
Hoping for the best.

Otherwise, NCMC doesn't make much sense for me especially, DC & CC.

Every NCMC Card should be enabled to load with all payment method, including DC, CC, UPI, without any charge, like the way we're able to top-up Closed Loop Card as of now in online mode. And the same should be integrated with BBPS and other platform, without restricting a user to use an exclusive platform. Because issuer and acquirer...are getting commision from PTOs already, not only that free deposits at no cost.

Bhai I hope ki CCAvenue koi changes na karein API/licensing m ki Chalo can only update Chalo cards. Twitter is a double edged sword.
Hone ko toh kuch bhi ho sakta hai, as of now mujhe jitna pata hai ya jane ko mila hai yehe kaam kar raha dusre card ke liye bhi, wo toh khudka sales badhne/ customer acquisition ke liye exclusive bana bhi sakte, wo dono bich ka agreement ka baat hai...

Jab tak koi dusra Avenue se ya koi dusra co se ya khudse na leke aaye tab tak toh rule hi karega na 😉

NCMC jis udeshya le laya udeshya se suru jab nahi kar paya, matalab same issuer and acquirer and no other card will be allowed.

Tab ina ki baat kya hi karein...

Orbit wallet is powered by Livquik.

Livquik already announced Card tokenization through GPay app.

Today I received the BPCL Rupay DC from BOB which I'm planning to use for NCMC at Ahmedabad Metro. Can someone please guide me through the next steps.

When I click on, 'NCMC Wallet Balance' in the BOB app, it says, 'No data exists for the given user'.

Activate it from chalo app, then load it using baroda mobile app then again load the ncmc offline memory of the card using chalo.

Have you tried clicking on the Card in bob World? I saw load balance option there which worked without activation at metro. You would still need to update balance at metro but u can load in bob world itself

Yeah in the BOB World app, when I click Load Money after tapping on the card it gives me the same error, 'No data exists for the given user'.
