Credit card for School education spends

I have tried to post this topic on various threads without much response and Seldom see posts from other users asking similar question. While not useful to many, Education fees goes into lacs for many and is a big expense.

In my case, the fees is collected via an App called Eduqfix. The School doesn't accept fees except cheque. Eduqfix charges certain fees for using a credit card. Also, many cards do not get cashback/ Points for paying school fees as per MCC code.

I was considering getting something like a Kotak IOCL Rupay or Tata neu infinity credit card to make UPI payment for school fees.

What are the thoughts of other card holders?

I'm sorry, this is out of context, but does the AZ ICICI card still give 2% cashback on education payments? For instance, would paying a college fee give you 2% cashback? Thank you in advance.

I know it gives 1% , not 2%

I have been using hdfc infinity card Via Skolaro app for this.
Gets 1.5%.
Done it for last 3-4 quarters.

I used kotak Myntra to complete my milestone.
Paid fee at ducat using axis ace cc let's see do I get any CB or not

HDFC Bank DCB gives reward points. I have used it for education fee and got reward points for the transaction. Attached the snapshot of the transaction

HDFC cards gives reward points. Even after upcoming devaluation, genuine education spends should get rewards.

DCB / Infinia 3.3%
and like you told neu cc 1.5%
