DCB Diners Club Tools and Travel App - Priority pass Digital membership

I have a DCB card. While logging in Diners Club Tools and Travel app in the personalized section, I am being redirected to priority pass account. If I enter my card details there will I be charged?

Diners Club FAQ is unclear, HDFC bank Customer Care says Priority pass is anyway not required. So just wanted to understand if I will be charged or not?

Though have written a mail to the priority pass people, let's see what happens?

I think HDFC will be interested as afterall we are using and relying HDFC's card which is indeed showing unlimited visits.

This was same for me. I had registered last year and it showed validity till 12/2022. In January, the validity was extended till 12/2023 without any extra charge.

Well, I guess this confirms that there is some interoperability between Diners and Priority Pass. And it makes sense too because lounge access is provided by Diners network and not HDFC bank. HDFC bank sets the limit whereas mode of access is set by Diners.

Firstly - who told you Diners is not accepted at 080? It's accepted just fine. Diners I think has a near 100% coverage of airports/lounges in India. The most notable exception I think is the Aviserve lounge in BOM. I'm not sure there are any other lounges in India that are covered by the PP network and not Diners.

Secondly - your logic here is that Diners for xxx reasons is not able to give you a lounge, so they are going to give you a PP FoC for that???? Why should they bother with a lounge network at all then - shouldn't the just outsource the whole thing to PP and save themselves a whole lot of headache!

Diners club privilege is not accepted at 080 Domestic lounge at BLR.
