In my case I observed that they give LE in case spending is high. Maine 2020 me ek 245k ka TV emi pe liya tha using my HDFC Regalia first LTF card. At that time limit was 392K. After 6 months, in Jan 21, they upgraded to Regalia LTF with LE to 560k. ICICI bhi usko hi match karta hai.

it's been 1.5-2 years, for moneyback+ no LE yet, last month got iocl upgrade offer with no LE.
sometimes high usage, sometimes nil to low but still no LE.

Keep your fingers crossed. If your CIBIL is good and there are other cards with higher limit, HDFC should try to match it.

i have many cards with limits above 4 lacs+ and got hdfc moneyback+ with 40k as preapproved..
it's been almost 2 years not a singel LE yet, sometimes high usage, sometimes low to nil but nothing works..

sent docs for LE on c2c but rejected..

sent 2 times in last 6 months and also via email..
tried with sbi, icici and axis they clearly rejected saying c2c not accepted.

now again after 1-2 month will try with amex
