You can now apply for FD based secured credit cards listed here (including Biz Black)

Example URL for Biz Black application: https://applyonline.hdfcbank.com/di...ebsite_organic_cc_on_fd_cat_pg_bizblack_metal

I tried to apply for Biz Black for a family member, but they didn't proceed saying FD is not eligible for the card. I tried with FD amount more than 6 lakhs.

Please share your experiences here in case someone is able to successfully apply for any card.

Found this on reddit today about probably eligibility of all cards. Source: /r/CreditCardsIndia/comments/1it0bpd/hdfc_eligibility_list_for_all_hdfc_credit_cards

I've spent around 4 lakhs in last 3 month and I'm holding Diners black pvc card and Im getting emails and calls from Hdfc bank for upgrade to Dcb Metal card. But my Diners black pvc card is LTF and Diners Black Metal will be paid card. Should I upgrade or wait for direct upgrade to Infinia? How much spend is required in how many months for upgrade to Infinia from Diners Black pvc.

Chances are very low <5% for direct upgrade to Infinia.

For Infinia upgrade, you need around 9L spends in 6 months and 10L limit on existing cc.

I've a limit of 12 lakh on my Diners black pvc, and if I spend 9 lakhs in 6 months, do you think I can be eligible for an upgrade to Infinia from DCB PVC LTF??

Yes, you will get approval as per current condition.

But LTF Infinia is not possible in any case, It would be paid.

I don't have any credit card from HDFC. I, however, IDFC Wealth, Axis Atlas and Indusind Pinnacle, all having limit upwards of 5L. Can I use any of them to apply for DCB Metal/ BizBlack on card 2 card basis? If yes, how?

Card to card isn't seems feasible now. You can apply salary basis though.

If I open new FD will it be eligible ?
and will HDFC report it as an secured/unsecured cc to CIBIL

also I don't have any cc tried applying to 6-7 cards but got rejected
I have an account in HDFC since 3 months

so in future can they convert the card to ltf/secured ?

1. Yes but you have to apply for card then follow the fd procedure

2. Hdfc will report it secured

3. No worries

4. Good Question ( pehle cc game me to aao LTF hi sochne lgte ho pehle milega v kya freedom ya moneyback jada se jada millennia unsecured me aur in sbko ltf leke kya hi kroge?)

5. Noobs always hurt more

I currently have HDFC Millennia which I got midway through Jan as upgrade from MB+. I've 50K unsecured+ 1.5L secured = 2L total limit. I applied for Bonvoy but they rejected immediately citing internal credit criteria. But it's given in the table Bonvoy only requires 1L floor limit.
I didn't escalate because I thought Bonvoy's min limit was the same as Regalia's. Or was it too soon after getting Millennia?

DCP requires 2L floor limit. So if I wanted to upgrade should I look at 2L limit or FD Lien 2.2L limit?

Generally they allow only after 6m but there are exception.

. 2L should be fine. But final decision Depends on their mood.
