Experience with Eco Rental Services

I recently encountered three distinct experiences with Eco Rental services, highlighting service variations across locations:

Case 1: Kolkata (Hometown)
During my trip in Kolkata, the service calculated the total distance as 40 km, measured from their home base in New Town to my destination, considering the "garage-to-garage" distance. This practice seemed inconsistent with the offer’s T&C. Upon contacting Visa, they indicated they couldn’t assist. As a result, I had to adjust my pick-up location based on Eco Rental's operational base. Despite this, the car and driver were excellent, and I received confirmation just 12 hours before the time of the journey.

Case 2: Cochin
On the same day, I used Eco Rental in Cochin. The experience was notably different. The driver waited over 1.5 hours due to my delayed flight from Terminal 1, assuring me there was no problem. The exact travel distance from the airport to my drop-off location was 39 km, with no mention of a "garage-to-garage" policy. The booking was confirmed almost two weeks in advance.

Case 3: Trivandrum
Similar to Cochin, the service in Trivandrum was smooth. Interestingly, the driver took a brief detour to enjoy some coconut water before leaving Kerala, showcasing a relaxed and friendly approach.

Overall, while service quality in terms of car condition and driver behavior was commendable, operational policies varied across locations.
All three were booked via BOB World Visa Sapphire DC.

If the drop location is 44 Km , and the policy is for 40 Km, can i put a location under 40 Km on drop, and when the driver comes I ask them to drop at different location. Would that be possible?

I can obviously pay him 100-200 as tip for this service.

Yes, I asked one of the drivers regarding this he said yes then can drop you anywhere based on the customer's need. Not sure about the charges. But 4KM will not be a problem you can try with a 44Km location if they don't confirm the booking then change it to 40KM before 24 hours.
