how to convert Infinia metal fyf to ltf

Just to confirm. Do you mean Infinia Metal? Infinia plastic you can get?
No. I actually once had Infinia Plastic LTF offer but didn't take it at the time and asked for metal version instead - RM even promised over phone that they'll get the necessary approvals & process. This is probably around COVID times and then I lost track and never saw the offer again 🙁

I never was really interested in acquiring credit cards until recently, after I joined this forum. Didn't really understand or use those extra benefits except airport lounge & lower currency markup fees etc. during travels

Just got upgraded to Infinia Metal FYF from DCB plastic FYF, how do I make this LTF?

I know nowadays HDFC is strictly not providing LTF to almost everyone.

I know there is no quick fix or quick method to get it done, I'm willing to play the long game to get this change, let me know if there are any.

Please let me know too, once you have gotten the information 😛

Hope not 😂 They have been saying Infinia Reserve is coming for more than a year now, but it isn't here yet. Fingers crossed 😂

your long game is atleast 2 yrs...by that time almost every card on planet earth will be devalued going by the pace of devaluations in 2023 and now in 2024.

HDFC is playing it smart. They will launch the Infinia Reserve after everyone is done devaluing their cards.
While a lot of ppl fret over Infinia Reserve.
From what I know, the number of ppl willing to pay 15k+ for a card will be very low.
Even currently, ppl having Amex card with fees >=20k will be just a few thousand (less tha 10k) in India.

So, Infinia Reserve or any card with 15k+ fee will not hv lots of users. Not much benefit for a bank to maintain a card with low user count.
I guess that's the reason we won't see Reserve anytime soon.

Benefit to bank comes from the fact people aim for that card. Fees will not be a concern, it will come with reasonable welcome/renewal benefits. The challenge will be eligibility. If hdfc plays it right, it can get bigger mkt share of premium clients.
