ICICI Bank Times Black Credit Card - Upcoming Super Premium Credit Card

Reward Points Redemption

Travel and hotel bookings via iShop at a value of 1 Reward Point = ₹1
Products and Vouchers via ICICI Bank Netbanking or iShop at a value of 1 Reward Point = up to ₹1
Cashback at a value of 1 Reward Point = ₹0.40
Note: You can redeem your Reward Points on iShop or Netbanking.

How does this compare with Emeralde Private Metal?

Imho the "Times" name itself takes the premiumness away.
True, co-branded cards themselves lose the charm, they sound like cheap membership cards that malls give away.
Also, even with two brands in partnership, they are asking for such a high fee. With brand partnerships, cards are supposed to bring better rewards at lower cost.

IMO you can’t expect a truly premium card from ICICI

Looks like details are out.

The lifestyle benefits looks good. Not sure of how iShop would work or would it even be closer to Smartbuy.
Big Question: Why would somebody spend Rs 25 lacs a year for a base reward rate of 2%.

CXO may take this card. Would be good for feel good and pride. But surely not worth to spend Rs 25 lacs per year on this card.
Better pay fee every year rather then spending on this card. Hope ICICI is compensating the fee with points.

iShop will not be anywhere close to smartbuy

The iShop accelerated Reward Points program is a limited-time offer. The capping of Reward Points under
this program will be subject to the iShop Reward Points Program terms and conditions.

Hey TFCians,

ICICI Bank is soon launching its top-tier super-premium credit card: the ICICI Bank Times Black Credit Card.
Expected launch time: Mid November 2024

Fees:
  • Joining Fee: Rs. 20,000 + GST
  • Annual Fee: Rs. 20,000 + GST
Interestingly, ICICI mentions a "1st-year fee" of Rs. 20,000 + GST, similar to the Amex Centurion card's structure. It looks like the bank will charge both the joining fee and 1st-year fee at issuance, with the annual fee billed at the end of the card’s anniversary year.

However, ICICI is known for some tricky wording around card fees and waiver conditions in their MITC. For instance, I was charged an annual fee on my Emeralde Credit Card a few years back, and my consumer court case on this is still pending. (More details on that here: https://www.technofino.in/community...d-even-after-meeting-reversal-criteria.11061/)

This new ICICI Bank Times Black Credit Card will reportedly have a sleek design, exclusive to a select group of customers. According to some sources, it’s expected to offer lifestyle perks unavailable on any other credit card in India so far.

Stay tuned! I’ll update this post with more details and my review once we have the full picture.
Personally I will stay away from any icici bank paid cards. They are just not worth the hassle coupled with tricky workings from icici. Also almost all paid icici cards don't offer value and mostly will be the same with this.

How convenient of the user to have just copied the post from TF and reshared it on their forum as if he pulled the details. These were first shared here!

I think at least they have some idea. In hdfc even bbh level employees have hardly any idea about infinnia reserve. They just know it's coming. When? With what feature? Fee? No idea!

Bro honestly saying Infinia Reserve not coming in near future...
From last few years I am seeing this is only for hype!! Nothing else...😤😤

In fact 2-3 months ago when I applied for DCB... I thoroughly checked.. infact I reached out to Credit Card Regional Head to get clarity. He clearly told any CC cannot be blindly launched...if in HDFC any new product Is going to be launched then their backend system, product team blah, blah... needs to be updated...And he has zero idea about this. He given his work this year it won't be launched. Then only I finally made my mind for DCB.

In my opinion Infinia Metal is what was supposed to be Infinia Reserve.

Infinia Metal eligibility is already sky high anything above that will make Infinia Reserve similar to Amex Centurion with very few eligible customers and end up becoming bragging rights and won’t bring much business to the bank, banks need more business and profitability at the end of the day.
