A few days ago when I visited Indus bank the employee told me a offer on opening of indus partner account wherein I have to deposit a cheque of rs 2L at opening which I can withdraw as soon as account gets opened and the account then remains zero balance and he also assured that they don't downgrade accounts like HDFC in case of non maintenance of mab.

Is it worth opening the account??

He's bank employee
What do you mean by personal banker?
Suppose you visit a HDFC bank, there are people at the front desk who listen to you for bank's day to day functions like passbook lost, want cheque book etc. These are front desk personel who majorly have operations to take care of and have passive sales targets. These are personal bankers for not premium accounts.

A RM is one who is supposed to look after premium accounts which has over a certain amount of money with the bank and get business ,cross sell products to convert that money from savings to investment and commission and sometimes blow it up too. RM's normally do not look after day to day operations until it's from a premium client. They mostly are on the hunt/on the field/client visit for sales and achieving targets.

Way better than Axis in my experience
Good to hear was using Axis for past 1 year for daily UPI transactions but the way they are updating charges on monthly basis made me look for another bank.
SBI upi transaction failure rate is way too much for my liking and Axis is also acting funny for past 1 month. Have you experienced any upi failure with Indusind yet ?

So as of now this is the best Zero mab account with free physical debit card.

Did you face any problem after opening it as a single account and withdrawing initial funding amount.

And have you used bookmyshow offer for more than two tickets will you get only one ticket free or its based on price deduction to total amount.

I didn't faced any problem as a single owner and also no problem for withdrawing initial deposit but the branch manager requested me to atleast hold the mab for a month stating that if someone opens a higher varient account and maintain no balance in the first month itself then they are questioned by their higher authority, so the bm requested me to hold the mab for a month and then no restriction for mab.
The case can be different for you.

For the BMS part I haven't yet availed the facility so not sure, but I think it would be price reduction for 2 tickets.

Thanks for the insight will discuss about the mab situation before opening the account.

This Partner Savings Account seems lucrative to me. My two questions:
  1. In the Schedule of Charges, I see that it is mentioned that the Visa Signature Debit Card is lifetime free for both the persons (joint account holders)? Can someone who knows about this please confirm? (Reason being that if separate DCs are issues, then the benefits like Movie tickets, Lounge Access etc. will also get doubled)
  2. There is a Times Prime complementary Voucher for this account variant. I am assuming it would be a single membership voucher for this account, and not two vouchers. Can someone please confirm?

1. Yes double benefits
2. Single voucher issued(Without Zomato pro membership benefit)

Just hope they don't pull off an IDFC and start charging Debit card fees further down the line

Edit : *Free subject to required balance maintenance, otherwise it is `499/- p.a plus taxes for both.

Don't know will it apply to people who have opened during offer time

If they do that... Account closure and debit card block option is always available....

It becomes quite exhausting tbh the point is to get Zero mab without paying any additional charges

In my case I use Axis Easy access 12k Mab account which cost me around 300+GST for Debit card and 15rs per quarter for sms

If I make the switch and they end up pulling a sneaky one all my big brain move will go in vain and I will end up paying extra :ROFLMAO:

Sad IDFC is another Axis in the making was about to go for them but don't trust them now
