interesting to know i closed 7-8 cards this month, like 1st week of feb and hdfc, icici, federal bank have closed the cards on cibil but the reporting date is of jan when the cards were active. I guess while closing cards on cibil doesn't matter reporting. Does everyone know this?
Totally depends on bank, and from this year banks are forced by RBI for fortnight update on cibil, and banks are trying to follow the same, so some are considering for billing date and billing +15 days, some are 1st, 15th, 30th etc there are various reporting seen by banks.

On part of closure this is also follows, but sometime they even didn't update for 3 months.

Also I found my kotak closed card becomes active after 6 months of closing.

Uncertainties everywhere

closed card came up active on cibil? first time i am hearing abt this lol

and I am happy banks are showing cards as closed on CIBIL as soon as possible (mine took may be 10-15 days only) but I would think when they report a card is closed, the date of reporting also shows current but in my case cards that i closed 2 weeks back shows up closed now(I noticed it today) but the "date of reporting" is still of last month's.

@SSV add this too.
On due date+3 days SBI reports statement balance whereas on 15th and 30th SBI reports outstanding as on date.
Yes.. my sbi balance was now reported as on 15/02 , which was rather very fast turnaround .. it took only 2 days ie today is 17th to report balance as on 15/02..
My last reported was as on 30/01…
I will wait for my due date + 3 days reporting this month and then update the first post accordingly ..
Thanks guys

I initially believed Axis Bank would follow a 15th & 30/31st reporting schedule, but to my surprise, this month they reported to CIBIL on my statement date (12-02-2025) for my Axis MyZone card.

For my Airtel Axis card, there’s no reporting yet, which suggests they might still be following the 15th & month-end pattern for that card.

What’s puzzling is that last month, both MyZone and Airtel Axis were reported on 15th & month-end, but now MyZone is reported earlier on the statement date. Not sure if they will still report it again on 15th & month-end.

Let’s see how this plays out. Axis seems to be keeping us guessing! 🤔

I too have myzone, but it was not reported as on my statement date. My statement date is 2nd of every month..
We need to expect some minor inconsistency/ randomness during the initial stages,.. After a few months it will get standardized, ig
