Possibility to get Debit cards without any charges in Axis

Is there any method to get Debit cards without charges in Axis Bank savings accounts 10k -25k variants? I have no need for a debit card as I never use it.

Indeed, I also want to see. But I don't think there will be any problem other than international transactions and wifi chip not being there.

By the way, for people who opened accounts online, there is also life time free e-debit card, which shows up in app, so if you have that, I guess there should never be a problem, right?

I've never used that though, will check it out in couple of days.

As far as I remember, they came to the office premises and handed over the readymade kit, so it is offline only. Needless to say that time I was even lesser than a noob and didn't even know how all these work and was very hesitant and shy shy shy 😂.

Yes currently not paying any annual charges on the debit card.

Salary account debit cards are usually free.

I know, this is why I shifted my primary a/c somewhere else. I used to be one of their premium account customer, now it's converted to zero balance basic account with restriction of 4 per month transactions and 1 lacs per year. Crossing anything will convert me to 10 mab account without any prior notice.

See, even here, they want to screw me over. 🤣

Let the card come.... And the picture be posted here on forum.. Then only the mystery will go away.... If its indeed debit chip card... Then I will also take it.... After 9-10 months... Currently issued easy secure plus card.... Account activated today only.... Card yet not showing in axis app... But since I opened offline account.. I have card with me.... As they will charge the issuance of that... Around 350 rs...

But his app image is really showing it as ATM card and he has also not received any email, this is truly weird, we applied on almost same day same method.

I think mine is rupay debit card and his is indeed atm one.

THIS IS WEIRD 🤣 🤣

How you did that....?? Can it be done online...???

And if your account is in rural branch... Then MAB will only be 2500...I also did the same... Wemt to rural branch of my city and opened easy access account.... In axis.... You can get pre approved credit card offers also in rural branches.... It took some tricks and stories.. As branch people were confused for reason of me opening in rural branch.... Despite having address of city... But I was able to open account... As I was unable to open online account.... In online you can choose branch of your choice....

Have to visit branch, had to talk to RM. And no, this is not rural area branch, I'm in Mumbai suburbs.

I might also add that I was their good customer previously, I had fd/rd/cc/premium account and even surplus balance every month. With large NEFT's and lot of small UPI's.

You can apply for branch change request from the app itself. I did it from city to semi-urban , Mab went from 10k to 5k , confirmed it with branch yesterday

I'll do that, when I want to use that a/c though, actually I wanted to close it completely but somehow they had added something, "auto debit facility" to my credit cards, which I'm not able to turn off from my end. This requires me to close my CC first then close the account, I said I will keep the cc just downgrade the account.

Axis is really weird bank man. I have to say that again. 🤣
