Possibility to get Debit cards without any charges in Axis

Is there any method to get Debit cards without charges in Axis Bank savings accounts 10k -25k variants? I have no need for a debit card as I never use it.

You can apply for branch change request from the app itself. I did it from city to semi-urban , Mab went from 10k to 5k , confirmed it with branch yesterday

Yes once you open account... You can do anything....... But in icici this thing dont works........that Is why I directly opened in rural branch.........

I'll do that, when I want to use that a/c though, actually I wanted to close it completely but somehow they had added something, "auto debit facility" to my credit cards, which I'm not able to turn off from my end. This requires me to close my CC first then close the account, I said I will keep the cc just downgrade the account.

Axis is really weird bank man. I have to say that again. 🤣

You don't need any documents too for branch change. It's as easy as changing username on this forum. Just look for a super small town Village that has axis and just enter it in drop down.

Not exactly, what you can do is , call customer care and just tell which branch MAB you want to know and they'll help you out. On website as far as i know , it's not available

they wont tell.....there is a rbi website you can check....i tried for a month...they were telling to go to branch....this is the easiest way

it saved me a lot of money...i found out icici and axis branch both from here....rural ones...

Axis started increasing its mab, and introducing charges for things I would get for free in other banks. Also, I had received my cc with them which was why I had opened the account initially. So objective was complete.

Please tell me after receiving the card. The limit and all. Also please tell if this card can only be used in atm and pos machine. Not online

What a coincidence. Just yesterday I realised that my axis has ₹-750 due to below chargers, now I have applied for Visa Platinum debit card which does have any fees.

Debit Card Charges Annual Fee for the period of 12-2021: Rs. 300.00/-
Debit Card Charges Annual Fee for the period of 01-2021: Rs. 300.00/-
SMS Alert Fee from the period 12-2020 to 06-2021 : Rs. 45/-
BNA Convenience Fee for the period of 11-2020: Rs. 50.00/-
BNA Penalty Charges for the period of 12-2020: Rs. 50.00/-

I am surprised they charge money for SMS alerts and convenience fee for doing transaction after 6PM

This is precisely why I closed my savings account I held after 8 years.

Most of their charges are unreasonable.

I think they introduced BNA convenience fees and other bulls**t in April 2021. The very next month I closed my account.

Only i know what balances that account has seen and it's definitely not alot. IT/ED is busy seizing the assets of my phone manufacturer though 😂 , they might check up on me and then put charges on you for wasting their time by sharing tip on such worthless account 😂

I didn't know bout it not changing MAB, I have 0 bal account in icici so up until i turn 35 , don't have to worry bout icici mab
