I think you are paying credit card bill repayment. RuPay is not a bank.

your RuPay CC issuer bank/merchant is block by RBL.

I meant to ask if RuPay CC repayments on CheQ have an issue with the RBL DC. As AMEX and VISA CCs repayments on CheQ went through using the same card.

What's the link with RuPay here ?

Cheq first accept payment through razorpay/payu gateway and then repay through bank's own internal network.

There is no link with card networks here for credit card bill repayment.

Credit card bill repayment work on bank's own internal network via NEFT/IMPS/RTGS/UPI.

This is bank issue.

if you pay RuPay CC bill for the same bank you already have Visa card then your bill will also get success.

By the way which bank RuPay cc bill your tried ?

I opened an online account and my account got freezed even before my debit card got delivered. I visited the branch 2 times and they said they would arrange a person to visit my home to verify the address and the account would be activated post that.

I have been following up with them and the response has been very bad. It has been more than a month since I opened the account. I am planning to visit the Branch Manager and escalate, is there anyway I can escalate online with the Bank instead of the BM ?

Which bank was the rupay version? Sometimes it could be the bank having issues.

It was HDFC Tata Neu. But yes could also be the bank.

FYI, payment to CC via Cheq is stopped on this card as they are categorised as MCC 6051, to which RBL doesn't allow payment.
