i had applied for it online. i already had limit of more than 4 lacs on my digismart card. hence, they approved ultimate easily

They most probably won't. Unless they run some campaign, offering LTF cards, they will most likely never make your card LTF. You can try after 5-6 years of usage.
Or, you can get a higher variant card, and Amex will give you a secondary card as LTF. Example - if you have Amex MRCC, you will get SmartEarn as LTF.

Their business model mostly revolves around Joining/Annual Fees.
