HDFC Marriott Bonvoy Surprised Gift

Got a surprised gift from HDFC Bank today.





It's a tag8 device. Never heard of this before today. Its a QR based tracking system for your luggage.

Since im not at home, haven't tested it yet. Have anyone else here got this gift from HDFC ?

Its actually a nice surprise. Has been 4 months now that I have used the free night already. So this is a late surprise. Share your story.

For 3500 card + Diners Network Lounges (No spend based access), A very good card. + If we are continuously travelling to Marriott Properties offline swiping using this card at reception for F&B gives decent reward rate. Milestones are waste though.

I use this on marriott properties + lounges only. I have acceptance issues for diners. + the marriott perks is worth it.

For early applicants of this card, renewals will be coming up from Sep/Oct '24.

Has any one got sure confirmation that we get 1 award night on payment of renewal fee as well?

There are conflicting messages for this, some saying YES and others NO.

Only way I will be paying renewal fee is if that benefit is there.

Also any other renewal benefit if you may know of?

Yes, on official T&C its mentioned as renewal benefit is there.

I got my 'Tag8" last week. Received paid card in May'24 with silver elite, 10 nights and 1 free night to reedem (up10 15k points).
