How To Get HDFC Bank Infinia & DCB Credit Card Easily - New & Upgrade

HDFC Bank Infinia is the best credit card available in India for frequent air travellers. HDFC Bank market this credit card as an invite only card, but in reality you can actually apply for this card.
Official Eligible Income Criteria For HDFC Infinia- 43L ITR (depends on location)
DCB - 24L ITR
If you don't have ITR of 43L/24L you can still get HDFC Infinia/DCB, you have to fulfil some other criteria.
This information is not available publicly on HDFC Bank website.
Hidden Criteria For "New HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank Infinia credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 10 lakhs credit limit for this.
"New HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank DCB credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 5 lakhs credit limit for this.

If your already have a HDFC Bank credit card, then you have to upgrade your existing card to Infinia/DCB,
For Upgrade To Infinia-
1. You need minimum 8 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, fill up and attach credit card upgrade form with the email.

For Upgrade To DCB-

1. You need minimum 5 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, attach card upgrade form with the email.

Update- HDFC Bank asking for 10 lakhs limit on your existing credit card for infinia upgrade.

So, don't be surprised if hdfc bank ask you for 10L limit. 😃

No, I mean what seems to be the issue is that when I made the transaction, I got a certain amount on SMS, but on the statement, that amount was 1% higher, and then on top of that they applied the 2% markup + GST. Effectively the exchange rate they applied was higher than it should have been.

That's what I am saying you did the international transactions in Indian currency.

If you do a transaction in USD or there local currency the charges aren't applicable

Hi all,I have received Club Marriott Membership as a joining benefit on my DCB Metal card. I already have a silver tier membership through marriot credit card.
What is the benefit of this welcome voucher?
Shall I add it to my account or use it for some other family member?

I would suggest not to wait for bill generation. Cross 9L as soon as you can and mail again.
Worst case, if there is any issue regarding bill generation, you have at least started the conversation.
Looks like the upgrade might be approved since they send the upgrade form mail! However, the mail is kinda confusing.

So should I send the upgrade form or not? I already sent them the earlier details.
 
Based on my spends criteria, I had applied via email dated dated 30/01/2025 to “grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com” for Infinia upgrade from DCB Metal. They asked for my salary slip and bank statement on 31-01-2025, which off course I send them via return email dated 02-02-2025. My upgrade request was however rejected on 03-02-2025 citing internal policy. So after reading threads from this forum, I immediately escalated to PNO and Priority Redressal on 03-02-2025 itself. Then on 05-02-2025, I received an email from Priority Redressal with the usual content that “they are willing to offer me the upgrade to Infinia etc etc and asked me to send them the duly filled attached upgrade form”. I did the needful and send the duly filled upgrade form on 05-02-2025 itself. But since then there has been no update or communication from HDFC side. What could be the possible reason for this silence, is the upgrade under process or anything else. How long such upgrades usually take ?

The upgrade is basically confirmed once someone gets the upgrade form mail
 
I am just concerned that why there is no response after that …. It’s been 5 days … may be I am too anxious to receive the upgrade 🫣
Don't worry. Keep checking your MyCards account or the cards section of your mobile banking app. Your new Infinia card will appear there before you receive an upgrade confirmation email. This happened to me last month. I was able to manage my Infinia card through my MyCards account even before they sent the upgrade confirmation email.
