Hello,
I have Axis Magnus for Burgundy (M4B)
This has been my general observation, need more opinion and value addition by seniors and redemption experts, who does details analysis from time to time.
Axis M4B most effective redemption tool is airmiles conversion at (5:4 ratio). (4.8% reward rate)
Where else for hdfc super premium category is airmiles conversion at (1:1 ratio) or by paying for airtickets at (1 Rp : 1 Rs) upto 70% of ticket cost. (3.3% reward rate)
I have around 1 lac points in Maharaja Points (Air India)
I found that 1 maharaja point is worth between 60 to 70 paise only.
Like I have redeem at lot in 2024 but never got
1 maharaja point : 1 rupee kind of a ratio.
It's always been between 60 to 70 paise.
I generally book tickets via. Points, 60 to 30 days before travel dates.
On doing fair analysis,
Now I find hdfc super premium cards giving better returns.
Here you actually you (1:1) kind of reward point : rupee worth of benefit.
Recently I was looking for dubai ticket for Feb 1st week
It showed me 32k points + 7k rs
Where else ticket on booking platforms were 27k all inclusive fare. If I had booked the same from hdfc rp .. it would have cost me approx 19k points 8k cash.
Which is thing is much better reward benefit then axis airmiles conversion and then points to actual ticket booking conversion.
If someone else has also done some deep study on this, please do share your views.
