HDFC Super Premium Cards Eligibility hiked!!!

Hi, I have DCP LTF. Looking for an upgrade to DCB. Due to difficulty in spending with DCP (acceptability issues), I applied for a hdfc rupay virtual CC as floater via Payzapp and got it. Limit is shared with DCP.

Do the spends on this floater be considered when requesting an upgrade from DCP to DCB

Going through the discussion about infinia here, I got the FOMO & got myself upgrade to LTF infinia metal, I was getting paid infinia metal upgrade offer since last 1 year or so on top of my LTF DCB PVC. I was always ignoring it as I felt it was not worth it, but my spouse got LTF DCB as well, So I decided to take the plunge. Arm twisted my HDFC CRM to convert paid infinia into LTF version.
What was the basis for the arm twisting?

And effectively it only saves like ~2300/yr?

They can change the renewal benefit anytime! Moreover they can change annual fee reversal criteria also anytime. These things are always at bank discretion, but it will be difficult for them to convert a LTF card to paid one unless product itself is discontinued, I did not wanted to move from a LTF card to a paid one. Anyways, my spends on this card is going to remain low(Read-Gyftr Apay voucher). As I said earlier, I just took this card as FOMO effect.

Great to know someone holding Infinia Metal LTF. Not that it would save a lot or make a huge difference from FYF or even paid but usually bank doesn’t issue LTF Metal so it’s definitely something.
Just curious to know how did you verify it’s LTF…by calling their customer care or you got some communication after it was converted to LTF.

Yes, I got written confirmation(email) from bank that it is LTF,

They will simply reject if you say that acceptability issue because dcbm & dcp both are based on same network

On part of floater they also consider it as a different card, ad-on only helps as i saw during upgrade to RG from millennia and I also had pretty amount of spends on tata neu infinity

I just have salary account with HDFC, I satisfy their salary requirement(new one as well), hence getting infinia was not much hassle. But to convert it into LTF was not easy. I am in managerial role where I can easily move away a lot of CS accounts away from them. That was enough to bug them.

Obviously I am not going to tell them that😅

I just want to meet the spend criteria of 5 lakh in 6 months. Wont be able to reach it with DCP alone. So thought I will take this Rupay floater (shared limit with dcp) and spend with it also hoping they will consider the combined spends when I put in the request for upgrade.

Wanted an opinion of TFCians since the rupay card reward rate is very poor. But I am willing to accept the loss so that I can get my hands on DCB.

If they don’t consider the spends together, I will continue my upi payments with kiwi

HDFC would consider spends only on DCP.
Before asking for upgrade to DCB, see that the credit limit is also 5 lacs. Or wait for auto upgrade offers.

Diners and Rupay have some type of tie-up. My experience is where-ever diners dont work, rupay also dont work.

I have GH (I have seen the approval that BM has taken) but credit card team is denying Infinia Metal request they are saying that GH approval will no longer work I will have to meet the new income criteria. Need suggestions to push it forward.
