1. I didn't disable auto-sweep-in but keep around 30k in that account (so it doesn't activate I guess). But you can request the branch for it to be disabled after opening I think (check this or the other Sapphire threads in the forum)

2. Don't know about Opulence card but a quick google search revealed you need to maintain a QAB of 10L for eligibility alone! So I expect they might charge the issuance fee with Sup Savings account, but not entirely sure.

However, a lot of people here saying that BOB even provides a BOB Opulence debit card to customers who have a basic savings account with the bank. Furthermore, they hardly ever use their BOB account.

a). A total of eight pickup services annually. The usual fare from my house to the airport is about Rs. 750.

b). Lounge access is unlimited all through I have another card that also has unlimited access. So this will be an optional card for me for domestic lounges.

c). I usually book my tickets through Yatra or Ease my Trip. Definitely i get a some discount there too.

d). I usually buy my clothes from Louis Philippe or Beverly Hills Polo Club. And Beverly Hills Polo Club rarely gives discounts on their clothes.

Does not sound very rewarding to me but yeah if it’s going to work for you then no harm in getting.

By the way, beware of these third party travel booking websites for flights. If the flight cancels, it takes a very long and continuous follow up to get your money back even if the airlines have refunded them. I travel a lot too and have seen it happening to lots and lots of people.

My friend has opened super savings account and applied for sapphire male varient while opening account from the tablet itself.
He has received welcome kit with only chequebook and no debit card. In netbanking, he cannot see any debit card linked to his account.

In netbanking debit card apply option showing visa platinum, rupay platinum, rupay select and sapphire female. sapphire male is not available. Does that mean, it is under process and will come later? Also, he called customer care, and they are saying no debit card request is there for that account.

What should be done now? I have recommended him this card, so feeling bad for this mess.

For me it took 2-3 days for request to get processed for Debit card. For 2-3 days, website will not let you apply the same debit card again and at the same time it will not show if you've already applied for it.

Got you. I think it's only the branch that can help you at this point or may be get a female one if you're only going to use it for the cab and keep the card home

True, that's why I book from airlines official app/website. In case of change of plan or cancellation from airlines, you can directly get refund in your source account.

Third party apps deduct their own convenience & cancellation charges at times before refunding & that also you have to do follow up regularly at times.

Netbanking was activated same day of account opening. In netbanking only female option is there, that too not working, error "max character exceeded" bla bla

Not necessarily. I had got mine in 10 days though applied via branch.
