How To Get HDFC Bank Infinia & DCB Credit Card Easily - New & Upgrade

HDFC Bank Infinia is the best credit card available in India for frequent air travellers. HDFC Bank market this credit card as an invite only card, but in reality you can actually apply for this card.
Official Eligible Income Criteria For HDFC Infinia- 43L ITR (depends on location)
DCB - 24L ITR
If you don't have ITR of 43L/24L you can still get HDFC Infinia/DCB, you have to fulfil some other criteria.
This information is not available publicly on HDFC Bank website.
Hidden Criteria For "New HDFC Bank Infinia Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank Infinia credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 10 lakhs credit limit for this.
"New HDFC Bank Diners Club Black Credit Card" - You can apply for new HDFC Bank DCB credit card using "Card To Card" method, you need a minimum 1 year old other bank credit card with minimum 5 lakhs credit limit for this.

If your already have a HDFC Bank credit card, then you have to upgrade your existing card to Infinia/DCB,
For Upgrade To Infinia-
1. You need minimum 8 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, fill up and attach credit card upgrade form with the email.

For Upgrade To DCB-
1. You need minimum 5 lakhs credit limit on your existing HDFC Bank Credit card
2. Send an email to- grievance.redressalcc@hdfcbank.com & request for card upgrade, attach card upgrade form with the email.

Update- HDFC Bank asking for 10 lakhs limit on your existing credit card for infinia upgrade.



So, don't be surprised if hdfc bank ask you for 10L limit. 😃

I am waiting for card too now, service request after consent was started on 24 for upgrade, it will be 4th working day today, let's see. 🤞🏻

Quite a coincidence. My was also registered on 24th so you should also be getting your upgraded card today. What limit they indicated to you? From 5lacs limit to 10lacs for Infinia it will take some effort again.

They said they needed a 5L limit on my RG but still asked for my consent to be upgraded at the same time, I guess they will increase the limit and do an upgrade at the same time, not sure but anyways am happy with the new card, I will miss mastercard acceptance on Steam and some other platforms but anyways, win some lose some.

They have been generous with me when it comes to limit, not sure how, maybe because most of my bnaking is with HDFC but yeah it will be a long road to Infinia. I started with 1.5L limit in Feb on my RG and went up to 4L this Nov.

BTW your card started showing up last evening or today ? Was there any communication from the bank that it's up now?

No communication just started showing few hours after cibil enquiry yesterday. Today got automated message saying card is upgraded and I can set pin.

I have more than 12L spends in the last 6 months on my DCB. But my CL is only 6.2 lakhs.
Do I stand a chance for upgrade to Infinia? Had heard we can upgrade based on spends as well.

Today I sent a mail to upgrade my card without any attachments as I meet the spend and limit criteria. I got the below response;

You can drop at any nearby hdfc branch. Sending copies in mail also works sometimes.

card limit - 11 lkh spend - 10lkh in last 6 mnths

Finally DCB is reflecting in App, upgrade from RG. But surprisingly they asked consent for limit increase from 4lacs to 6.2lacs but it has increased to 5lacs only!
I wanted higher limits for next upgrade. But seems have to settle for this now. Thanks to TF and this post specifically, this is second upgrade by this process. In June 24, Millennia to RG, and now to DCB.

Limit is now increased to earlier committed 6.2lacs. So just for upgrade they first increased it to 5lacs and then effected remaining increase after 3days. Now they seem to be following minimum requirement of limit for specific card for upgrade.

Same here.

• After completing 10L spends in last six months I sent mail to grievance on 9dec along with payslips. I also have salary account with them
• They replied saying they will review and respond by 19 dec. Got sms “Registered! Case ref - card upgrade assistance Expected closure 19th”
• On 18th they replied they are unable to review my Infinia upgrade request based on payslips. They asked for ITR and Tax Computation sheet
• I replied with the requested docs.
• Without any other response On 19th they closed the case marking it resolved. I got this sms “RESOLVED! Case Ref XXXXXXXX: Card Upgrade Assistance Details sent to your Reg. Coordinates on -HDFC Bank”
• Same day got another email and sms saying new cased registered and expected response date by 1 Jan 2025.

No idea what to expect now. Waiting with all my fingers crossed.

Strange. There was no cibil hit for me. And in general also when cards get upgraded through grievance redressal, there is no cibil hit mostly.

Good thing is your card got upgraded successfully. Congratulations 🥳

There's no CIBIL hit for upgrade. But there'll a hit for LE, i think

I had a LE few months back but there wasn't a CIBIL hit, I think it just depends how recently had they check your CIBIL.
