Hi Friends,

hp pay app load wallet via credit card which card is having zero charges kindly share your experience about the rewards/CB for this transactions.

FYI my holding cards are SC Manhattan, HDFC Regalia, IndusInd Legend and ICICI Apay as well as LTF Coral.

Guys update as of 6th july 2024:
Recently, ICICI has disable fuel transactions on their fastags. DYOR before loading bulk amt in ICICI tags

Courtesy @Sriim for the ICICI tag holders to enable options of fuel by ICICI tags:
You need to login to ICICI etoll website using your fastag customer ID and password. It will show up fuel enabled yes or no in one of the tag detail menu options

I load my HP Pay via ICICI super saver and then pay at HP bunks via paycode from HP Pay. Got 1% surcharge reversed + 4% cashback (Rs.200 limit per month) and got some happycoins well (changed from payback points), but my last transaction was done around 2 months ago

So I used this way
1) Loaded icici fastag using razor pay gateway through amazon pay on icici fastag official website and paid 1.65% extra
2) Linked my fastag with hp pay app
3) Made payment at hp petrol pump using scan the code option

overall this helped me earn 7%(amazon gift card through dcb) -1.65% (razor pay fee)+1% HP pay cashback = 6.35% return

but the problem that I faced was, after scanning the HP pay code ICICI fastag payment option kept showing 0 balance multiple times until suddenly it again started showing balance and I was able to make payment.. can someone guide me on why icici fastag payment is so unreliable? Is it usual and takes so long to pay through fastag option on HP pay? or was it one time thing I faced?
Because if HP pay is unreliable and takes so much time (almost took me 15 mins to complete the payment) then it's not a worth it option. But if there is a work around on how to use it in a better way please guide me folks.

I tried today again and this time I was able to make payment in first try.. Though I noticed one thing that hp pay qr code is not easily accessible in hp petrol pumps.. These owners have hidden the qr in my locality with white paper and kept just 1 qr far away.. Dont know if they want customers to not use this option for some reason

In Chennai almost all hp outlets display the code easily and if not also we can ask to show from their swipe machine (which is separate for hp pay)

They were insisting me to pay by code instead of hp pay code.. Which doesn't allow to pay through icici fastag.. So I had to stop the car go inside.. Scan the hp pay code and then make the payment.. A little bit of hassle...will try some other petrol pump and see if there it is a little diff or same
