IDFC Upgrading Select Credit Card to Wealth Credit Card

IDFC started upgrading IDFC Select Credit Card to IDFC Wealth Credit Card on request.

Process:

- Call to customer care.
- Tell them that you want to upgrade Select CC to Wealth CC.
- They will deny saying that Wealth CC has a minimum floor CL of 5L and we cannot upgrade.
- Inform that you've been using your select card well for the past 3-6 months.
- They will deny again (If possible).
- Then tell that many of our friends are getting it upgraded to Wealth CC from Select CC.
- They will take the request for upgrade.


-Within 1 working day the request has been processed to Wealth CC.



Note:

1. We have tried 3 cards within our friends and family circle and all have been approved.
2. All the members are having CL more than 2L (So not sure of Select cards <2L Credit limit).
3. I have Wealth account.

Update at 9pm on 30-07-2024: Seems Savings account needed for this trick. (Wealth Worked for me and Select worked for my friend)

No nothing. Just had 2-3 negotiations as mentioned on the post. That’s it. I have wealth account, that’s the only additional point.

is CV CC any good in IDFC? On the other day one IDFC guys called me and offered me.. I dais I will look inot it.. Somewhere I read it is not that great

I just now called customer care and asked them to upgrade to wealth CC from select CC, they said same thing that limit should be 5lk minimum and first I have to raise request for LE. I tried my best for 10mins to upgrade but no use. They are saying if your friend has been upgraded without LE then share us the details so that we can check, if proved we can upgrade you to wealth CC without LE. As of now they took request for LE with documents needed. If my limit upgrades to 5lk then they will just look for card upgrade offer. I also have account with idfc. Even with that also they are denaying. Their point is simple if your friend upgraded then share details like name and registered mobile no that's it.

Took for the joining benefits and 3 months benefits. I usually have some insurance spending which will be covered in milestones on this card.
Right now only for Insurance spends and milestones hit.

I have a Select Savings account and Select Credit Card. If I raised request to Upgrade to Wealth CC, My Savings account will also upgraded to Wealth Savings account or Remains same as old
