Jio Recharge plan Hike

Yes. So if child number (prepaid) is converted to postpaid and linked to subscribe account then child number's excess recharge will become waste. Am I right?
So we need to add them only after all their plan expires.
Yes I think for child, excess recharge may become waste. For avoiding the 99 child plan fee.
You can join higher plan and then add the number to family, higher plan will automatically downgrade.

5g will work, they are not capping 5g based on plans bro.
They're only capping unlimited 5g.
They have withdrawn 5G benifits from Calling only plans like 1559 and 395 ( earlier available with unlimited 5G). Now the new plans are not having the tag. It's gone. No more 5G in these plans : 1899 and 479 ( new price)

Well the question here is if you are in 5G network coverage and your handset supports 5G then does 479 plan will give 5G networks or always remain in 4G network?

There is no unlimited data benifits. If your phone supports 5G, you will receive the 5G speed until the exhaustion of your plan data limit ( 6GB in 479 plan , 24 GB in 1899 plan) After that only 64 Kbps speed. They've removed the unlimited 5G. You can confirm via many videos on YouTube and customer care.

That's what I am saying you'll get 5g network, the data pool is limited now, which was even the case in 4g.
This is the same scenario when jio phased from free internet to paid plans.
I will suggest to not be attached to unlimited 5g because sooner or later it will also be removed.
Then you'll be left with limited data plans only.

Last few hours for Vi customers to still recharge with old prices until midnight. Vi have not increased prices on 3rd July, they will on 4th July. Hurry up if you haven't recharged.

But many users here are reporting that they are getting only 4g in this plan.

See earlier the criteria was that any recharge above 239 will get 5g. And so those low end plans worked. But now the criteria is min 2 gb/ day plan to get 5g.

I think all plans under 2gb and especially Value added plans wont be giving any 5g speed even if your phone supports 5g in a 5g coverage area. The data speeds will only run on a 4g network.
This is the end goal to lure people into expensive plans. Once a lot of people move into this, they will further hike the plans. We will see the next price hike by the end of 2025. Airtel and Jio made a scam out of everyone, they begged Govt for lower acquisition cost for bandwidth purchase citing high infrastructure costs ultimately saving money there and increased recharges giving same reason to customers. The next hike will be a nightmare.

Thats a high possibility but in any case one can stack up Jio vouchers with no expiry dates whenever which are also transferrable, helps in cases where one needs to port out to other networks. Otherwise stacking up recharges totally locks one to their services. Unfortunately no such benefits in other telecom operators.
