Not sure about premier but their basic accounts are mediocre. In fact it was the first time I had to visit a bank branch for work because they couldn’t do it online or over call. Customer support is also not 24x7 for non premier accounts.I just want to know how they treat customers?
Like Indian Banks treatment or developed world’s customer treatment in general??
Because I would like to open an account with Banker who has significant international presence and treats it’s customers with some dignity
They don’t discriminate. At least in my experience at the Singapore and Dubai branch. And if you have already opened a Premier account in that country using your premier status in India obviously you will then just be like any other premier customer in their bank and they will treat you like their other premier customers. What about when you travel abroad and go to local hsbc bank and tell them that you are an Indian HSBC customer.. how do they treat you ??
Good to know..Not sure about premier but their basic accounts are mediocre. In fact it was the first time I had to visit a bank branch for work because they couldn’t do it online or over call. Customer support is also not 24x7 for non premier accounts.
Another important point is that HSBC does not support IMPS payments. Not sure if it’s different for premier customers but it’s unlikely.
Install the simplypay HSBC app for imps or even google pay has the option. But you are right in the regard that it dies not have that option in the appNot sure about premier but their basic accounts are mediocre. What kind of local docs we need to open a premier account in those countries??They don’t discriminate. At least in my experience at the Singapore and Dubai branch. And if you have already opened a Premier account in that country using your premier status in India obviously you will then just be like any other premier customer in their bank and they will treat you like their other premier customers.
Passport + Pan/Aadhar and maybe passport size photos. Your RM/BM will send you a mail and you can just attach your docs in there. Sometimes may even need proof of income and address verification but highly unlikely I think. What kind of local docs we need to open a premier account in those countries??
See I am an Australian citizen and I don’t have any residence proofs in Australia now but planning to stay for a frequent shorter periods in Australia..
In this case how does having a HSBC premier account help me ?
SimplyPay supports IMPS? I thought it was only UPI payments?Install the simplypay HSBC app for imps or even google pay has the option. But you are right in the regard that it dies not have that option in the app
So my Australian Passport with Indian Aadhar to open an account in Australia will work??Passport + Pan/Aadhar and maybe passport size photos. Yes it does support IMPSSimplyPay supports IMPS? I thought it was only UPI payments?
Hmmm. Hard to say tbh. Only they can answer that question. So my Australian Passport with Indian Aadhar to open an account in Australia will work??
Okay thanks for your time…Hmmm. Hard to say tbh. Only they can answer that question.
Yes I do but I opened both of these accounts with Indian Passport and Indian PANOkay thanks for your time…
I will talk to them if I decide to open an account..
I thought you had a premier account in Dubai or Singapore..
Do you have Dubai / Singapore residence proof docs?Yes I do but I opened both of these accounts with Indian Passport and Indian PAN
Oh cool. I did not know this. Will check it out. Thanks!Yes it does support IMPS
My dad has a house in Singapore and for Dubai I used a family friend’s house.Do you have Dubai / Singapore residence proof docs?
it doesn't work that way. If you have HSBC Premier account in one country, you can open HSBC Premier account in other countries without adress proof in that country. I and a few others in this forum have opened US account that way.So my Australian Passport with Indian Aadhar to open an account in Australia will work??
So that means it works even better than that way...it doesn't work that way. If you have HSBC Premier account in one country, you can open HSBC Premier account in other countries without adress proof in that country. I and a few others in this forum have opened US account that way.
it may vary from country to country, but yeah it is possible. So that means it works even better than that way...
I don't need any of of the document of residence if I have Indian premier account..right
They don't support IMPS for all personal customers including premier accounts as well. Not sure about premier but their basic accounts are mediocre. In fact it was the first time I had to visit a bank branch for work because they couldn’t do it online or over call. Customer support is also not 24x7 for non premier accounts.
