Move from HDFC Imperia to HSBC premier ??

I have a salary account with HDFC.

I am planning to move from HDFC Imperia to HSBC premier?

Does it make sense, advantage, disadvantage? What will I lose?

Also, whats the best way to open HSBC premier account?

I actually had a talk with DBS Treasures this morning and they assured me that they also provide this service.

I have heard good things about DBS Treasures. And HSBC only gives service to Premier. Sort of like Jet Airways: Anything for Platinum but not give a shit about other customers.

But DBS Treasures is the same as HSBC Premier. Both require 30-40lks TRV

Does anyone received HSBC premier credit card (India version) without Joining fee in last 4-5 month? It as some good benefits but they are asking for joining fees.

Same here. They aren't letting go of the fee. Which is fair too I think.

Maybe for the 40L TRV. I don't see any logic for them making it LTF for salary based premier. And maybe again I didn't negotiate hard enough.

1. RM said post account opening once the salary is credited only then the card will be issued. Is this correct?
2. Are the golf privileges different across tiers? I read somewhere they have made it all equal but not sure.

I have HSBC Premier and HDFC Imperia. My RM is much better at HSBC, for an example I was in a different country and accidently called him while it was 1:30 AM in India and even then he was willing to help me resolve a very minor query about my cheque book. Do also get invited to events like once every quarter and he calls me up to tell me about them. And most importantly I am able to get premier status accounts opened in different country even if I have never been there(some countries have different conditions though like Switzerland but most should be possible).

This is exactly the reason I have been telling ppl HSBC Premier is not even comparable to HDFC Imperia. HSBC Premier is a true HNI product whereas HDFC imperia is a joke.
I would switch to HSBC premier however my company does not have HSBC relationship

@Ankur dhanda i got a mail today saying the credit card has been rejected due to bank policies. i was under the impression they need a salary credit to happen before they process. How is this happening? i do have multiple credit enquiries though over the past 3/4 months. Is this card a lost cause now?

Just opened two days back. First Salary yet to credit.

They are generally strict about checking TRV along with credit history from CIBIl. You can speak to your RM to get the actual reason it was declined. After rectifying the main reason, you can apply again. Only problem is, for every application, they generally do a hard credit check.

Although I have raked up 20+ enquiries in the past 3 months so I am just hoping they don't reject me coz of that. What am I to do. Yes bank rejected my marquee 10 times and randomly approved the 11th time.
