Move from HDFC Imperia to HSBC premier ??

I have a salary account with HDFC.

I am planning to move from HDFC Imperia to HSBC premier?

Does it make sense, advantage, disadvantage? What will I lose?

Also, whats the best way to open HSBC premier account?

@Ankur dhanda i got a mail today saying the credit card has been rejected due to bank policies. i was under the impression they need a salary credit to happen before they process. How is this happening? i do have multiple credit enquiries though over the past 3/4 months. Is this card a lost cause now?
Get your RM to take approval..
They have that power to get things done.
Most likely multiple cibil enquiries is the root cause..

I have Salary Premier too. Credit card was applied by RM in first week itself, so it does not have to wait for first salary credit.

I know someone who got rejected due to many enquiries. You need to speak to RM and ask him to reapply.
Awesome thanks for sharing both accounts!!
Did the known someone get the card after reapplying?

Hi, did you got premier credit card with joining fee or NIL. I know annuL fee is N.A until you are premier, so wanted to know about the Joining fees Part, thanks

I have HSBC Premier and HDFC Imperia. My RM is much better at HSBC, for an example I was in a different country and accidently called him while it was 1:30 AM in India and even then he was willing to help me resolve a very minor query about my cheque book. Do also get invited to events like once every quarter and he calls me up to tell me about them. And most importantly I am able to get premier status accounts opened in different country even if I have never been there(some countries have different conditions though like Switzerland but most should be possible).
Seems to be exceptional service by HSBC, Which branch of HSBC India?

No way around the joining fee. HSBC explained to me that you get 12k worth of Taj Voucher, so you are paying just the GST amount for the card. The renewal fees are waived as long as premier status is maintained.

I will appreciate if anyone can check with their RM whether i can get a CC being an NRI. I already have a premium HSBC account, my RM is clueless and being tempted to raise a complaint to have them replaced.. Everytime i try to call him he is in meeting and never returns the call. He did say i would need a PAN card which i am in process of obtaining.

Just wondering whether by complaining i will get assigned another RM?

Yes, you can get Premier credit card as an NRI. It will be even easier if you maintain good TRV in Indian Premier account or have Premier credit card in foreign countries.

You can also complain and get a new RM assigned.

Can you please share his/her number? I am interested to join HSBC. it's very difficult to get such RM like you mentioned.

@Ankur dhanda My never ending badluck with cc continues-

I mean at this time i am just not willing to reach out to my RM for the HSBC premier cc. Multiple calls emails and shes busy most of the time (plain speak for i havent given them much business yet) and all she quotes is there are a lot of enquiries on your profile so i am not able to get an internal approval.. What to do?

Firstly make a request to change your RM with the branch if she’s responding this way. how many enquiries do you have?
