I thought of applying for a replacement but my environment friendly mind is stopping me to apply to decrease plastic waste.

Damn this looks classy. Mrcc design used to look so bloody stupid.

I think all this while amex team had taken customers for granted based on their subpar deisgn and aesthetic.

Just requested for a replacement asking them to retain old card details. They never charge for card replacement. I have done it in the past. I think at most card cvv changes.

I have asked them to replace as it's damaged that's it. No one cares beyond that. I also asked them to send the new card with updated deisgn. Now lets wait and watch what happens. I will update here.

Yes all the other details are listed on back in flat black paint, its not embossed.

There is an option for card replacement in the app itself, just select that. Give the reason as card damaged, then your details won't be changed. No need of even talking to any customer care..
