Super Premium Credit Card

Momo_Scooby

TF Select
VIP Lounge
I want a super premium credit card for my wife (she is a working professional).
The basic expectation from that card is
  • It has lounge access to Domestic(080 BLR of Bangalore Airport) and International (as for the international lounge person has to have a card with his/her name right?)
  • the equivalent value of points/rewards/vouchers equal to the card fee will be good as I myself have already many cards in my name.
I have the following super premium cards in my name

Axis Magnus - Paid(10000) (credit limit 7 lakhs)
HDFC Diners Black - LTF (credit limit 6.95 lakhs)
SC Ultimate - Paid(5000) (credit limit 5.5 lakhs)

if having name on card is the basic expectation, why not get an addon for her on your diners black/magnus?

without knowing her salary, it is difficult to suggest,
but idfc wealth is ltf and has the features that you require.
bob premier is rupay ltf and was offered ltf a couple of months ago. plz check now. it also has intl lounge access that even eterna doesnt have.

infinia (if eligibility satisfied).

Sorry not just her name but she now wants to have at least her own credit card(after seeing my collection 🙂 ), she had icici platinum and hdfc millennia and she closed them.
What is your experience with infinia eligibility recently?

ah got it.

i don't have infinia as i collect only ltf cards.
but that card satisfies your requirements subject to their eligibility criteria of income > 2.75L pm credited in Bank. in my experience hdfc is quite strict on this.

EDIT: also i forgot to mention that 080 is pretty random in which cards they allow, going by posts shared by everyone on this community in the last few months. premium card rejected while basic cards accepted. they also keep changing their accepted list frequently.

2.75L pm is not getting credited as of now, it's just 20-30K short to that

Have an addon DCB (or Magnus) in her name. This takes care of lounge access for the time being.

And let her build up the credit card history from any card which gets alloted. Usually opening an account with you as joint holder and her salary credited in that account will rapidly allow her to have premium services and cards. HDFC bank does that. Axis should also be able to do that. Axis Vistara cards are a good idea too.

in that case apply for idfc wealth. it has 16 lounge accesses and spa (domestic+intl+spa all combined 16).
it is LTF so you dont have to force spends for fee reversal or waivers, and no useless vouchers in the form of renewal reward points.
reward rate is decent and can be converted to statement cashback ( 1.5% for online shopping, 2.5% above a certain threshold indont remember).
it also has complimentary roadside assistance which many have found useful in case of vehicle breakdown. plus thriwe memberships for amazon prime, etc.
since you already have dcb and magnus, this might be a good addition to both your cc portfolio.
